Innovative expands search functionality for highly specific results with Encore Release 4.6. Innovative Interfaces has launched Encore Release 4.6 with new options for patrons and students to find specific materials more quickly through facet selection and publication finder integration. In Encore Release 4.6, facets have been redesigned with checkboxes allowing users to select multiple terms within a facet to filter their search results. For example, it is now possible to refine topical search results to display only those matches about two or three specific places to facilitate comparative research. Additionally, users can use facets to focus on multiple formats, such as including both eBook and streaming media results while excluding electronic journals. Mid-Hudson Library System (NY) selects Encore Duet. Innovative and 3M partner for powerful eBook integration in Encore ES. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. and 3M announced a partnership that will integrate the 3M Cloud Library into the Encore discovery platform. Innovative's Encore ES provides users with the ability to checkout or place holds on 3M Cloud Library eBooks without leaving the Encore interface. Innovative to Integrate Access to Digital Public Library of America into Encore Synergy. Innovative announced a development initiative to integrate access of the Digital Public Library of America large-scale digital public library collections into the Encore Synergy platform. Encore Synergy will harness the open DPLA discovery framework to provide users with a seamless, single-search experience of the digitized materials aggregated from the various universities, public libraries, and other organizations participating with the DPLA initiative. Encore Release 5 brings social networking capabilities to discovery platform. Innovative announced the launch of Encore Release 5, which will incorporate social Web features to provide a more relevant, visible, and engaging presence for today's libraries. In Release 5 of Encore, users will be able to "like" all kinds of library content such as books, movies, and music. Sharing these finds on social networks will be easy, with the use of a standard set of sharing links that include Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others. Encore Release 5 will also provide users with the ability to create and share their own home page with options to include a profile, reviews, reading lists they create, or items they have checked out or put on hold. Encore Synergy integrates HeinOnline resources for expanded legal research discovery. Innovative announced that resources from HeinOnline now integrates into the Encore Synergy discovery application. A single search of Encore Synergy will now include results from HeinOnline's Core Collections, which comprise more than 40 million pages of legal history, including more than 1,500 law and related periodicals. Consortium of Catalonian University Libraries (Spain) partners with Innovative for Encore for a Group. The Consortium of Catalonian University Libraries (El Consorci de Biblioteques Universitàries de Catalunya)—comprised of nine of the most prestigious academic libraries in Spain—has entered in a partnership agreement with Innovative Interfaces for Encore for a Group. The Consortium libraries are Autonomous University of Barcelona, Barcelona University, Catalonia Technical University, Girona University, Lleida University, the National Library of Catalonia, Open University of Catalonia, Pompeu Fabra University, and Rovira and Virgili University.
