OCLC OCLC’s EZproxy available as a hosted service in Europe. Beginning in June 2012, University of the Arts London will be piloting an EZproxy authentication service hosted in OCLC’s new data center in London. The service will go live for libraries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, once the pilot has concluded in the summer. EZproxy is the most widely used authentication and remote access software for libraries in the world. [Full Announcement].

OCLC EZproxy Hosted Service Now Available. OCLC announced that EZproxy is now available as a hosted service. The hosted version will make one-click access to eContent a reality for many libraries who may not have in-house expertise--or who may have more pressing matters for IT staff to handle. OCLC OCLC acquires EZproxy authentication and access software. EZproxy, the leading software solution for serving library patrons remotely, has been acquired by OCLC from Useful Utilities of Peoria, Arizona.
