Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Yale Law School's Library now live on the Sierra Services Platform. Innovative announced that the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale Law School went live with the Sierra Services Platform last week. As a next-generation services platform, Sierra is built on an open-systems architecture that provides a library with access to its circulation, technical services, and patron data though an open relational database and a suite of documented application interface extensions. Unlike other systems, Sierra offers out-of-the-box, fully featured library workflows and integrated resource management delivering the functionality and performance that libraries trust to run their operations. The Library is the first law library to successfully install the new system and is among over 790 libraries that have selected Sierra to date. [Full Announcement].

Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Early agreements for the Sierra services platform announced. Innovative announced that 25 leading academic and public libraries have entered into agreements to be partners in or early implementers of the company's Sierra development initiative. Included in the group are collaborating institutions such as Central Arkansas Library System (AR), Council Bluffs Public Library (IA), Gardner-Webb University (NC), The George Washington University Law School (DC), Greene County Public Library (OH), Grinnell College (IA), Hillsdale College (MI), Hope College (MI), Indianhead Federated Library System (WI), Jefferson County Public Library (CO), Lafayette College (PA), London Public Library (Canada), Marquette University (WI), Mentor Public Library (OH), Michigan State University (MI), Middle Country Public Library (NY), Texas Southern University Law (TX), University of Nebraska-Lincoln (NE), University of Notre Dame Law School (IN), Wright State University (OH), and Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale Law School (CT). Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Twelve Libraries Launch Encore 3.0. Innovative announced that twelve libraries have "gone live" with Encore Release 3.0: Augsburg College (MN); Binghamton University [SUNY] (NY); Greene County Public Library (OH); London Public Library (Canada); University of Hong Kong; University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Westerville Public Library (OH); Yale Law School (CT); Michigan State University; Eastern Kentucky University; Scottsdale Public Library (AZ); and University of Western Ontario (Canada). Key enhancements include improved discovery features, Community Reviews and Patron Ratings, personalization features, as well as new option for the Encore "look and feel." In addition, Encore Discovery is now available for central catalogs of INN-Reach direct consortial borrowing systems. [Full Announcement].
