EBSCO Information Services Utah State University opts for EBSCO Discovery Service via Innovative's Encore Duet. EBSCO Discovery Service via Encore Duet has been selected by Utah State University as its discovery solution to help the library consolidate its diverse resources. The service will also make resources more readily available to library users through an intuitive interface. The university adopted Innovative's Encore discovery solution several years ago and when the new partnership between Innovative and EBSCO Information Services was announced, they were intrigued by the possibilities offered by the integration of EDS via Encore Duet. SkyRiver SkyRiver sees gains in Academics. Interest in SkyRiver from academic libraries is strong. Several academic libraries, small and large, have chosen SkyRiver for their cataloging services since early summer. Recent additions to the SkyRiver customer base include Alma College (MI), Cameron University (OK), Rhode Island College (RI), San Francisco State University (CA), Utah State University (UT), as well as ARL member, the Kelvin Smith Library of Case Western Reserve University (OH). This interest across a broad swath of the academic library community reflects the growing recognition that SkyRiver provides an excellent resource for cataloging metadata as well as significant savings. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Utah State University selects the Sierra Services Platform. Innovative announced that Utah State University is the first library to switch from a competitive ILS to the new Sierra Services Platform. Built on a foundation of open services, Sierra will provide all the benefits of a complete library-services system combined with the power and scale of modern software architecture. Sierra will replace a Symphony ILS from SirsiDynix. [Full Announcement].

SirsiDynix Utah State University Goes Live With SirsiDynix Symphony. SirsiDynix announced Utah State University Library has successfully installed and begun operations using the SirsiDynix Symphony Integrated Library System in the Merrill-Cazier Library. The solution is complemented by a host of SirsiDynix tools, including SirsiDynix e-Library and the SirsiDynix Web Reporter business intelligence tool. USU upgraded to Symphony after using SirsiDynix Horizon ILS for over 12 years. [Full Announcement].
