Ex Libris Ex Libris Alma goes live at Swinburne University of Technology. Ex Libris announced that Australia’s Swinburne University of Technology—an Alma collaborative partner—is in production with the Ex Libris Alma library management solution. In addition, Swinburne University is the first live Alma site whose cloud-based services are delivered by the company’s new data center in Singapore. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris Seven Early Adopters Select URM from Ex Libris for Next-Generation Library Services. Ex Libris announced the establishment of the Collaborative Partnership Program for Australia and New Zealand. Designed as a regional early adopters program, the program will facilitate long-term collaboration between Ex Libris and the program partners during their adoption of the company’s Unified Resource Management Framework, a platform for the delivery of next-generation library services. VTLS, Inc.. VTLS Announces VITAL 2.0 Implementations. VTLS announced the availability and delivery of VITAL 2.0. VITAL is used by institutional repositories to manage their digital collections. The Australian Research Repositories Online to the World Project, led by Monash University has just completed the acceptance testing of VITAL 2.0. This acceptance of VITAL 2.0 paves the way for the software to be installed at Monash University, University of New South Wales, National Library of Australia and Swinburne University. These installations are in progress. Other Australian universities are negotiating to acquire and install the software early in 2006. [Full Announcement].
