Ex Libris State University of New York Selects Ex Libris Alma and Primo Solutions for Libraries on 61 Campuses. Ex Libris announced that the State University of New York has chosen the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to be used by 61 libraries of the university system. The next-generation Alma platform will replace the Ex Libris Aleph integrated library system, while the Primo solution will be implemented in place of the various discovery layers that have been in use up to now, including the EBSCO Discovery Service. ProQuest Serials Solutions announces Intota development partners. Serials Solutions announced the institutions that are collaborating with the company to develop Intota, a Software-as-a-Service solution that supports the entire resource lifecycle for libraries, including selection, acquisition, cataloging, discovery, and fulfillment regardless of resource type. The six development partners reflect a broad spectrum of visionary institutions and academic research libraries; from public and private, community college and university, to single university and consortia systems. ProQuest SUNY implements Serials Solutions 360 Link OpenURL link resolver. Serials Solutions announced that the State University of New York consortium has chosen Serials Solutions 360 Link OpenURL link resolver to provide its users with full-text access to e-resources. SUNY library leaders made the decision to migrate from a previous OpenURL application to 360 Link in April, citing a comprehensive knowledgebase, reliable support, and ease of setup and administration as reasons for the purchase. Webfeat. SUNY New Paltz upgrades federated search service with WebFeat Express. The Sojourner Truth Library at the State University of New York New Paltz has upgraded its previous federated search solution (Metalib) with a WebFeat Express federated search system. SUNY New Paltz is the first State University of New York institution to launch a WebFeat system. [Full Announcement].

Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Binghamton University, State University of New York selects Innovative's Electronic Resource Management. Innovative Interfaces announced that Binghamton University, State University of New York has selected the company''s Electronic Resource Management to manage the Libraries'' electronic holdings. Binghamton University will install Electronic Resource Management in a stand-alone implementation. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris SUNY selects SFX. Ex Libris announced the recent selection of SFX by the State University of New York as part of the SUNYConnect initiative. SUNYConnect will integrate SUNY libraries with the Ex Libris Aleph 500 library management system, establish a core set of electronic resources, and utilize SFX for linking online resources. The SUNY system is comprised of 64 campuses across New York with a student population of approximately 388,000. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris SUNY contract signed!. Ex Libris announced that the contract with SUNY has been signed and that work on the project will begin immediately. SUNY, the State University of New York, selected ALEPH in October 1999 and contract negotiations on the complex project began immediately. Concurrent with the negotiations, Ex Libris opened an East Coast office in order to provide local support for the project. ALEPH 500 is now poised to become the core library management system for the SUNYConnect initiative. SUNYConnect will provide access to the entire SUNY library collection of 18 million volumes while integrating technology based resources and capabilities with traditional library services. SUNY is a unified system of public higher education institutions with 64 campuses, representing 71 libraries comprised of community colleges, two-year colleges of technology, specialized and statutory colleges, traditional four-year colleges, research university campuses and academic health science centers. OCLC Libraries use OCLC SiteSearch to manage electronic resources. The Harvard University Library System, the National Agricultural Library and two State University of New York libraries have recently chosen the OCLC SiteSearch software to integrate access to local and remote information resources and to build unique local information resources.
