Relais International Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) selects Relais D2D. The Committee on Institutional Cooperation libraries have agreed to proceed with a pilot of Relais D2D. The pilot will include: University of Chicago; University of Iowa; University of Michigan; Michigan State University; Northwestern University; and Pennsylvania State University. Relais D2D (Discovery to Delivery) is a next-generation software platform for consortial borrowing from Relais International. The CIC libraries will implement Relais D2D over the summer with the goal of being live by the fall semester 2011.The CIC is the nation's premier higher education consortium of top-tier research institutions, including the Big Ten Conference members and the University of Chicago. ProQuest Penn State University Libraries select Serials Solutions' Summon Discovery Service. Serials Solutions announced that Penn State University Libraries have chosen to adopt the Summon web-scale discovery service to help improve access and usability of library resources for its students, faculty and staff. Pennsylvania State University Libraries rank among the top 10 research libraries in North America, according to annual statistics of the Association of Research Libraries statistics. Ex Libris Pennsylvania State University goes for MetaLib, SFX. Ex Libris has announced that Pennsylvania State University selected the combined MetaLib/SFX solution for federated searching and context-sensitive linking for the entire Pennsylvania State University system. [Full Announcement].

Sirsi Corporation. Pennsylvania State University Libraries select SIRSI. Pennsylvania State University Libraries, in partnership with Library Computing Services, has chosen Sirsi Corporation''s Unicorn Library Management System to update portions of the LIAS (Library Information Access System) online system, which is used by the Paterno Library, Pattee Library, seven other University Park branch libraries, and an additional 20 libraries at other Penn State sites.
