Ex Libris National Library of New Zealand selects Ex Libris Cloud Solutions. Ex Libris announced that the National Library of New Zealand has adopted the Ex Libris Alma resource management solution and the Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution, with its Primo Central index of scholarly e-resources. As a result the National Library will deploy a fully integrated platform to manage and expose its vast collections of electronic, print, and digital resources. Primo will also be integrated with the National Library’s installation of the Ex Libris Rosetta digital asset management and preservation system, enabling future generations to access the rich digital heritage of New Zealand. OCLC OCLC to host cataloguing, resource sharing for National Library of New Zealand's Te Puna Services. The National Library of New Zealand has selected OCLC to host Te Puna Services, a collection of online tools and services created with New Zealand librarians to support daily workflows in searching, cataloguing, resource sharing and managing collections. OCLC has previously had an agreement in place with the National Library to host Te Puna interlibrary loan services. By selecting OCLC to host and manage these other services, the National Library will significantly reduce its administrative workload and maintenance tasks. [Full Announcement].

OCLC National Library of New Zealand reduces costs by moving Te Puna Interloan service to OCLC. The National Library of New Zealand is working with OCLC to improve interlibrary lending and reduce costs by moving the infrastructure of the national Te Puna Interloan network to the hosted version of OCLC’s VDX resource sharing system. SirsiDynix SirsiDynix welcomes 24 libraries to the SirsiDynix Symphony family. SirsiDynix reports that in Q2 of this year, 13 new library customers joined the SirsiDynix family and 12 current customers upgraded their system to the SirsiDynix Symphony ILS. [Full Announcement].

National Library of New Zealand. Vendors selected to develop Kōtui, a new national shared library system. Three vendors have been selected to work with Kōtui to develop a shared library system operated by the National Library of New Zealand for subscribing public libraries. The vendors are SirsiDynix, EBSCO Publishing, and Computer Concepts Ltd. Acting National Librarian, Sue Sutherland, says Kōtui will manage the member libraries’ physical resources and offer a new Discovery system which will allow customers to easily search for e-books or digital subscription information held by libraries as well as conventional books, magazines and DVDs. The vendor selection followed a rigorous evaluation process which assessed vendor offerings in terms of both functionality and price. Potential member libraries were heavily involved in the development of the specifications for Kōtui and were also involved in selecting the vendors. [Full Announcement].

SirsiDynix National Library of New Zealand signs with SirsiDynix. SirsiDynix announced that the National Library of New Zealand has selected the SirsiDynix Symphony integrated library system for the Kōtui shared library system. Kōtui is a new shared library system operated by the National Library of New Zealand for subscribing public libraries. Ex Libris The National Library of New Zealand Selects Primo from Ex Libris. Ex Libris Asia Pacific is pleased to announce that the National Library of New Zealand has chosen to expand its suite of Ex Libris products with the Primo solution, which will provide users with a unified interface for the discovery and delivery of the library’s vast collections. Ex Libris The Ex Libris Digital Preservation System Goes Live at the National Library of New Zealand. Ex Libris Group announced that after a successful beta-testing period at the National Library of New Zealand, version 1.0 of the Ex Libris Digital Preservation System has gone live as scheduled. Based on the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) model and conforming to trusted digital repository (TDR) requirements, the Ex Libris Digital Preservation System provides institutions with the infrastructure and technology needed to preserve and facilitate access to the collections under their guardianship. Ex Libris Ex Libris and the National Library of New Zealand sign agreement to develop a product to preserve national cultural heritage. Ex Libris announced that the Company signed a multi-million dollar agreement to develop a digital archive and preservation system with the National Library of New Zealand. Under this agreement, Ex Libris Group will develop a commercial digital preservation system to address the needs outlined by the National Library of New Zealand for its National Digital Heritage Archive Programme. Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.. Endeavor Information Systems announces first partnership for long-term access and preservation of digital content with the National Library of New Zealand. The National Library of New Zealand Te Puna Matauranga o Aotearoa and Endeavor Information Systems announced a partnership to develop digital repository and preservation technologies capable of meeting the long-term digital access and archiving needs of the National Library of New Zealand. Endeavor Information Systems announced today that the ENCompass digital management system has been purchased by and delivered to a total of 17 institutions. Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.. National Library of New Zealand chooses ENCompass. Endeavor Information Systems announced this week that the National Library of New Zealand, Wellington, New Zealand is the first library outside the United States to select the ENCompass digital library navigation, organization and linking tool. Implementation of ENCompass will begin immediately at NLNZ, the eighth library to select ENCompass, commercially released in March 2001. [Full Announcement].

Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.. Te Puna-Voyager project wins New Zealand national IT award: National Library of New Zealand cited for excellence in Voyager install. Endeavor Information Systems congratulated the National Library of New Zealand as the recipient of the Excellence in the Use of Information Technology in Government category at the 2000 Computerworld Excellence Awards. The award honors the NLNZ''s implementation of the Voyager integrated library management system, dubbed Te Puna, as a forward-thinking IT project delivered on time and under budget.
