The ILS comprises the backbone of a library’s technology environment, tying together transactions and data about patron checkouts and holds, ordering and cataloging new materials and it powers what patrons see on the library’s website. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Oregon public libraries launch new technologies with Innovative. Innovative Interfaces announced that Deschutes Public Library and Multnomah County Library , the state''s largest library, are migrating from Dynix systems to Millennium and implementing newly available technologies including Online Patron Registration and Ecommerce. Both libraries have also decided to implement Innovative’s Graphical Self Check module, an alternative to bulky check-out machines, that lets patrons manage their own circulation transactions from a desktop workstation.
