Leipzig University. Start of FOLIO Library Services Platform at Leipzig University Library. After two years of preparation and development, Leipzig University Library put the open source Library Service Platform FOLIO into operation on June 11 2020. We have thus reached a further milestone in the use of open source software. From now on our electronic resources (i.e. e-journals, e-books and databases) will be managed with this innovative, self-hosted software. This makes us the second German library and the fifth library worldwide to use this future-oriented platform productively. Instances for other Saxon university libraries will be added in the course of the year. [Full Announcement].
