OCLC Members of NEOS Library Consortium to implement WorldCat Local service. The University of Alberta, Red Deer College, Lakeland College and Concordia University College of Alberta are the first among NEOS member libraries to implement WorldCat Local, the OCLC service that delivers resources of local libraries and libraries around the world through a single search box. All members of NEOS, a cooperative library consortium that comprises 18 government, hospital, college and university libraries throughout central and northern Alberta, have been given the option to implement OCLC’s WorldCat Local service. The University of Alberta, Red Deer College, Lakeland College, and Concordia University College of Alberta will complete their implementations by March 31, 2010, with more NEOS member libraries to follow in the coming months. Relais International Lakeland College Library selects the Relais ILL Hosted Service. Lakeland College Library located in Lloydmister, Alberta, has selected the Relais ILL Hosted Service to automate their ILL and Document Delivery operations. The system will include the Relais Access web-based pages which includes the Relais Web Services software. Relais Access will interface with the library’s SFX software, an OpenURL link resolver from Ex Libris. Lakeland College uses the Unicorn ILS from SirsiDynix, a technology partner of Relais International. [Full Announcement].
