TIND Duke University selects TIND RDM as its new research data repository. Duke University has selected TIND RDM as its new repository platform for the Duke Research Data Repository and is migrating from Hyrax, an open-source repository engine from Samvera. The Duke Research Data Repository (RDR) is a service of the Duke University Libraries, with the mission to curate, publish, and archive Duke digital research data from any discipline. Using TIND RDM, the Duke RDR will continue to provide long-term public access to support research transparency, reproducibility, and to foster new discoveries. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris Duke University joins Alma and Leganto community. Ex Libris, part of Clarivate, announced that Duke University Libraries, one of the top ten private university library systems in the United States, has selected the cloud-based Alma library management system and Leganto for integrated course resource lists. Duke selected Alma as the new library enterprise system because of its ability to handle the everyday work of library operations, broad interoperability with other systems, continuous development, and product innovations, and proven ability to provide a high-quality user experience to library staff and patrons. Duke, a long-time Ex Libris customer, will begin implementing Alma this fall with a focus on successfully integrating the system with their multiple technology platforms. Utilizing Alma and Leganto from the Ex Libris unified platform will help Duke University Libraries carry out their strategic plan to create platforms for scholarly engagement, teach and support emerging literacies, advance discovery, partner in research, and transform the information ecosystem. Duke University Duke University Libraries selects new library enterprise system. Although most library users won't notice any difference, changes are coming to an important back-end system the Duke University Libraries uses to handle everything from checking out books to managing thousands of databases and online resources. Between now and summer 2024, we will sunset our legacy library enterprise system and transition to the Ex Libris Alma Library Services Platform. [Full Announcement].

Duke University is the latest subscriber to Concierge for Access Services to support their ILLiad implementation. Duke joins nearly 50 institutions as an Access Services Concierge Subscriber. Located in Durham, North Carolina, Duke University will receive consultative and customized support to keep their staff trained and their ILLiad software current and operating at peak efficiency. Atlas Systems, Inc. Atlas continues strong sales of Ares E-Reserves and Aeon Special Collections Management. Atlas Systems, the leading provider of time-saving solutions for libraries, ended 2011 with a surge in sales for both Ares and Aeon. Institutions that purchased Ares in the last half of 2011 include University of South Florida; Temple University (PA); Skidmore College (NY); American University (DC); University of Windsor (CAN); University of Victoria (CAN); Drexel University (PA); Harvard Kennedy School (MA); and University of Illinois. New sites implementing Aeon include Claremont Colleges Library (CA); American Antiquarian Society (MA); and Duke University (NC). [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris Duke University Selects ALEPH500, MetaLib/SFX. Ex Libris announced that the Duke University libraries—Perkins Library and its 7 campus branches, plus Pearse Memorial Library at the Duke Marine Laboratory and the independently administered libraries of Divinity, Law, Medicine, and Business (Ford)—have contracted with Ex Libris for ALEPH500, MetaLib, and SFX.
