Ex Libris Drexel University nimmt als erste Hochschule am Early-Adopter-Programm von Ex Libris Esploro teil. Ex Libris, a ProQuest Company, gibt bekannt, dass sich die Drexel University, eine der 15 größten privaten Universitäten in den Vereinigten Staaten, dafür entschieden hat, die Forschungsdienstplattform Ex Libris Esploro als Early Adopter zu nutzen. Ex Libris Drexel University Is first to join Ex Libris Esploro early adopter program. Ex Libris announced that Drexel University, one of the 15 largest private universities in the United States, has opted to become an early adopter of the Ex Libris Esploro research services platform. The Esploro solution will broaden the impact of Drexel’s research output and maximize the efficiency of managing research data and publications for global discovery and access through a campus-wide partnership led by the Libraries. Ex Libris Drexel University chooses cloud-based Ex Libris Alma Library Services Platform. Ex Libris announced that Drexel University has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform to integrate with the university’s Summon discovery and delivery service. The Alma-Summon combination will improve the discovery of and access to scholarly resources needed for learning, teaching, and research. As a single system, Alma will streamline procedures for managing the Libraries’ acquired and licensed electronic and print resources, help the Libraries raise staff productivity significantly, improve workflows, and eliminate data silos. The Alma platform replaces the Innovative Interfaces Millennium integrated library system, which Drexel has used since 1998. [Full Announcement].

Atlas Systems, the leading provider of time-saving solutions for libraries, ended 2011 with a surge in sales for both Ares and Aeon. Institutions that purchased Ares in the last half of 2011 include University of South Florida; Temple University (PA); Skidmore College (NY); American University (DC); University of Windsor (CAN); University of Victoria (CAN); Drexel University (PA); Harvard Kennedy School (MA); and University of Illinois.
