OCLC Three more libraries in the UK join OCLC's WorldShare Management Services community. Three more libraries based in the UK have recently selected OCLC's WorldShare Management Services as their new library management system: Bournemouth University, Newman University, and University of Southampton. EBSCO Information Services Bournemouth University Selects EBSCO Discovery Service. Bournemouth University has chosen EBSCO Discovery Service from EBSCO Publishing as its discovery solution—bringing a single search box to the library collection. Believing that single search discovery tools are essential for the continued success and viability of libraries, the university began looking at discovery options to replace its federated search system. Bournemouth selected EDS after a detailed review of the service, determining that EBSCO Discovery Service met the university’s long term plan for a single source for the discovery of all library resources. Webfeat. WebFeat Express now supports Athens authentication. WebFeat announced that automated support for Athens Authentication has been added to its WebFeat Express product. Athens joins other remote user authentication schemes already supported with WebFeat Express, including: all major ILS system RPAs, EZ Proxy, Shibboleth, username/password, IP range and referring URL. Library administrators can easily configure remote authentication in minutes using the automated handshake feature found in the WebFeat Administration Console. [Full Announcement].
