ReShare Community Project ReShare welcomes Boston Library Consortium. Project ReShare closes out the year by welcoming the Boston Library Consortium to the ReShare Community. In addition to contributing leadership and engagement to the Project, BLC will be making a significant financial contribution. Founded in 1970, the BLC is an academic library consortium serving 21 public and private universities, liberal arts colleges, state and special research libraries in the northeastern United States. Reprint Desk. Boston Library Consortium secures multi-library document delivery agreement with Reprints Desk. Reprints Desk and the Boston Library Consortium announced that Reprints Desk’s A-Z Academic Document Delivery Collection for full-text retrieval of scholarly research papers will be made available to BLC’s 17 member academic and research institutions. BLC member institutions will benefit through group purchase pricing incentives when they use Reprints Desk’s external document delivery services and award-winning Article Galaxy software platform to retrieve scholarly journal articles that are not available via subscriptions. Reprints Desk will also work with libraries to analyze actual and projected content acquisition costs to best ensure that inter-library loan and document delivery services are used cost effectively. Dynix. Dynix enables first deployment of NCIP-based interlibrary loan program. Dynix announced that the Boston Library Consortium has successfully launched the first NCIP-based interlibrary loan program. The Virtual Catalog Project uses the Dynix Universal Resource Sharing Application to enable users to make loan requests among disparate ILS systems. Dynix is the first company to deploy an ILL solution that incorporates the newly adopted NISO Z39.83 Circulation Interchange Protocol (NCIP). [Full Announcement].

epixtech, inc.. Boston Library Consortium chooses epixtech's ursa to connect 16 university libraries. The Boston Library Consortium, which consists of 16 Boston-area university libraries, has recently installed epixtech''s Universal Resource Sharing Application, a dynamic resource sharing system licensed by epixtech, inc., based in Provo, Utah.
