Boston College High School has chosen EBSCO Discovery Service from EBSCO Information Services as the basis for their library resource Corcoran One Search. After looking at several services, the librarians found that EDS had many highly desirable features including responsive web design, mobile accessibility and an easy-to-use discovery layer platform for students. Association of Research Libraries Boston College becomes newest member of ARL. At its 2000 Fall Membership Meeting the membership of the Association of Research Libraries voted to invite Boston College Libraries to join as the 112th academic member. Located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, the University is classified in the 2000 Carnegie Classification System as Doctoral/Research Universities-Extensive. Ex Libris Boston College on another prestigious BEST list. Boston College signed a contract with Ex Libris USA for the installation of ALEPH 500 as its next-generation library management system. Boston College offers undergraduate through post-graduate studies with a student population of 8,900 undergraduates and 4,800 graduate students. The University Libraries contain 1.8 million volumes and will be converting to ALEPH 500 from the current NOTIS system. [Full Announcement].
