Ex Libris Rapido resource sharing platform takes off in Australia. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that Bond University, in Queensland, Australia, has gone live with the Ex Libris Rapido resource sharing platform. The university decided to adopt the Rapido platform to handle an increased demand for interlibrary loans (ILLs) while lowering costs. The free Rapido reciprocal lending model provides significant savings for libraries, like Bond's, that had previously been using a “pay-per-loan” system for both print and document delivery. Ex Libris announced that Bond University has chosen ALEPH 500 for its university library becoming the 28th Australian academic institution to use Ex Libris’ products.
