Huntsville, Alabama - Sirsi Corporation is pleased to announced that its Unicorn Collection Management System will be installed at the Bluffton-Richland Public Library.

Unicorn will be installed on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model 260 host computer. In addition to the bibliographic and inventory control module, the library has licensed the circulation control and enhanced public access modules. Sheryl Schirmer, Director, cites Unicorn's ease of use as the main reason for choosing the system. "Unicorn is easy to access and use, even for the moderately computer literate. We were also impressed that such a system was not out of our library's price range."

The Bluffton-Richland Public Library is located in Bluffton, Ohio, a rural area with a population of approximately 3,300. The library serves over 4,700 registered patrons in the towns of Bluffton and Beaverdam and surrounding areas. The library collection, now numbering over 24,000 volumes, was moved to a new building in 1986, after being housed in the local high school for 60 years. The purchase of the UNICORN system is being funded entirely by business and patron donations.
