The Library Corporation TLC wins dual Modern Library Award honors. The Library Corporation has added to its impressive list of accomplishments yet again, earning multiple 2021 Modern Library Awards. TLC not only received a Gold Level Award for CARL.Connect Discovery but also the highly distinguished “Service of the Year” Award for TLC.Cloud Services. The MLAs were created to recognize the top products and services in the library industry in a truly unbiased format. Only customers with experience using these products/services in their facilities were permitted to judge the products/services, resulting in a truly unbiased score. [Full Announcement].

The Library Corporation TLC completes milestone migration to TLC.Cloud Services. The Library Corporation has completed its fifth customer migration to its latest cloud hosting model: TLC.Cloud Services. Five distinctive library systems from around the country and internationally have partnered with TLC to successfully migrate their integrated library systems into the new cloud platform, with more customers scheduled for migrations later this year and beyond. The Library Corporation eBiblioFile now serves former RBdigital customers enhanced data. With the recent acquisition of RBdigital by OverDrive, TLC announced that all former RBdigital customers are now eligible to utilize eBiblioFile, an on-demand MARC record service for eBooks and other downloadable titles. This service has been available to OverDrive customers as well as cloudLibrary™ by bibliotheca customers. [Full Announcement].

The Library Corporation Now Live on CARL.X: OWLSnet Consortia implemented new Iitegrated library system 100% virtually. The newest library system to implement TLC's CARL.X integrated library software is the Outagamie Waupaca Library System's shared automation network (OWLSnet). This library system, which went live on August 17, 2020, is a public library consortium consisting of 29 libraries with 49 locations that stretch across two library systems in northeast Wisconsin. The Library Corporation Newport News Public Library implements Library.Solution. Newport News Public Library recently joined The Library Corporation family by implementing Library.Solution integrated library system software. Located in Newport News, VA, this 5-location library system has a mission to “connect, inspire, enrich and empower,” which they have continued to do in the middle of a global pandemic. The Library Corporation's latest major update to Library.Solution was recently released and customers are already complimenting the enhancements and new features found within version 5.6.1 of the Library Management System. TLC's Library Management Software platforms: CARL.X, Library.Solution, and Library.Solution for Schools, provide their users with an experience built for scalability, high availability, and operational efficiency while supporting the librarians' goal of enhancing the patron's experience with the library. The Library Corporation TLC Migrates Large Public Library-School Library Consortium. A TLC data services customer for 30 years, and a Library.Solution customer for over a decade, North Iowa Libraries Collaborating (NILC) moved from Library.Solution 4.2 to the web-based solution Library.Solution 5.5.3. The Library Corporation smoothly migrated the consortium, consisting of 90 public and school library sites. This entirely web-based solution adds the ability of working from anywhere to all of the librarians in the consortium. “We view the migration as a positive step for the consortium and look forward to implementing its additional, new functionalities as time goes on. These provided an incentive for us to migrate to version 5.5.3,” stated Nathan Clark, NILC Coordinator and Director of the Emmetsburg Public Library. [Full Announcement].

The Library Corporation TLC's CARL customers rise to the pandemic challenge. TLC's CARL.X Library Management Software customers are a knowledgeable, tight-knit group of libraries who are involved in developing CARL.X products to reflect their emerging needs. The CARL Customer Relations team has recently organized a series of Post-Pandemic group video calls with CARL's libraries to share ideas, strategies, and workflows regarding re-opening and providing curbside or hands-free services.
