(The Library Corporation) TLC recently released updates to CARL.Connect Staff in version 1.6 that enhance the User Overview function. Check-in and check-out capabilities were improved to provide library staff with the ability to view outstanding transactions on a user’s account without having to navigate to account specific interfaces. The new User Overview feature is accessed during check-in or check-out with one-click hyperlinks and cuts out time-consuming steps that traditionally could bottleneck the process for librarians.
(The Library Corporation) The Library Corporation announced that Berkeley Public Library in California migrated to the CARL•X integrated library system, taking advantage of the fully hosted service model that TLC offers to customers.

(The Library Corporation) The Library Network in Southeast Michigan successfully migrated to TLC’s CARL.X ILS after 15 years with SirsiDynix Symphony. TLN says that their May 2018 launch of CARL.X in 50 libraries had no major problems or issues, and they checked out over 22,000 items on the first day.

With our STEM initiative evolving over the course of years, we are curating numerous products and solutions for libraries and schools. The TLC•SmartTECH team displayed what a makerspace with no limitations can look like, pushing the boundaries of innovation, design, engineering, and art for the 21st century classroom and library.

This new release includes many features in the ILS, most noteworthy the ease of use with batch editing in cataloging. Batch editing has been simplified by making titles and items editable with a drop-down menu for TLC's web-based, award winning software, LS2 Cataloging.

(The Library Corporation) The Library Corporation announced that The Library Network, a coalition of 50 public libraries in Southeast Michigan, has migrated to TLC’s CARL.X ILS. The Library Network used SirsiDynix Symphony as their ILS for the past 15 years. However, TLC’s success with large library systems—and reputation to treat customers as partners—convinced TLN stakeholders, who unanimously agreed to make TLC their ILS provider for the future.
