Systematic wins important contract for new library system in Sweden. The Danish software company takes another big step into the European library market after winning a tender worth SEK 100 million for Stockholm Public Library. With the contract, Systematic takes another big bite of the Scandinavian market. The customer list already includes all Danish public and school libraries, Oslo's main library Deichman Bjørvika and its 22 branches, as well as close to 100 other Norwegian municipalities. Danish library system breaks new ground in Germany. After successful implementations in Norway and Sweden, Denmark's Cicero system is set to modernise public libraries across Hamburg, marking Systematic's first foothold in the German library market. Cicero, which forms the digital backbone of Denmark's Joint Library System, continues its expansion across Europe. Following successful implementations in both Norway and Sweden, Germany is now ready to acquire the Danish IT solution. Bücherhallen Hamburg has chosen to replace its 30-year-old library system with Cicero, making Hamburg the first German library customer for Systematic, the company behind the solution. Systematic and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) are once again awarding the Public Library of the Year. This year, four remarkable libraries have been nominated, representing the very best from all over the world. To select the Public Library of the Year 2023, jury members of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) have narrowed the field to four nominees: Public Library Janez Vajkard Valvasor in Slovenia, Gabriel García Márquez Library in Spain, City of Parramatta Library in Australia, and Shanghai Library East in China. Oslo's Deichman libraries go live with new Danish library solution. On Tuesday 28 March, 21 public libraries in the City of Oslo were connected to their new library system solution, Cicero. Transferring the data relating to almost two million library items, the profiles of 500,000 borrowers and all the accompanying data went exactly according to plan. Systematic enters the Norwegian library market. The Danish software company Systematic has won the tender for a new integrated library solution for the Deichman libraries in Oslo, which consists of 22 public and special libraries. The product Cicero will be the foundation around which Deichman's digital universe will be built. The solution supports functions such as borrower management, circulation, acquisition of materials and the experience in the library room. At the same time, the agreement with Deichman Systematics is the first step on the Norwegian library market. Deichman, which is part of Oslo municipality, has given all Norwegian municipalities the opportunity to buy into the Deichman agreement. Out of 428 Norwegian libraries, 230 have wanted to become option libraries, which gives them the right to be able to buy and connect to Cicero. [Full Announcement].

Södertälje kommun erbjuder alla skolbibliotek en ny och användarvänlig lösning. Som den andra kommunen på bara ett par månader har Södertälje valt bibliotekslösningen Cicero för att öka tillgängligheten till skolbiblioteken i grundskolorna. Under hösten 2020 valde Norrköpings kommun att köpa bibliotekslösningen Cicero till kommunens samtliga 50 skolbibliotek. Nu väljer Södertälje kommun också att göra det, vilket gör det lätt för skolbibliotekarier, lärare och 12 000 elever att hitta och låna exemplar – såväl på biblioteket som i klassrummet. Swedish heavyweight in library market to pave the way for Systematic. With eighty per cent of Swedish libraries in its customer database, the Swedish company BTJ is the perfect business partner for Systematic, which is busy winning over the Swedish market with its library solution Cicero. BTJ, the Swedish publisher and content provider for libraries, has entered a strategic partnership agreement with the software company Systematic, which means that BTJ can now add the library solution Cicero to its product catalogue. The partnership with BTJ is strategically important for Systematic's plans to create competition in the Swedish market for library systems which has been dominated for many years by one large provider. Systematic and KOMBIT takes the Joint Library System on a road show. Three road shows in Middelfart, Aalborg and Gentofte are meant to prepare the municipalities for the roll-out of the Joint Library System at all public libraries and educational service centres in 90 out of a total of 98 Danish municipalities. Med opkøbet blev Systematic over natten Danmarks største leverandør af digitale bibliotekssystemer og fik samtidig også ansvaret for leverancen af det nye nationale Fælles Bibliotekssystem, der rulles ud til alle folkebiblioteker og pædagogiske læringscentre (tidligere kendt som skolebiblioteker) i 90 % af de danske kommuner fra sommeren 2015. Så forandringens vinde blæser på flere områder i bibliotekssektoren.
