Technology from Sage Improving student accessibility: Announcing Talis Aspire's first further education partner, Newcastle College. Newcastle College is partnering with Technology from Sage to implement Talis Aspire as its integrated resource list management system of choice. This offers students studying across degree and foundation level courses access to library holdings via Talis Aspire. With this implementation, Newcastle College hopes to improve the student experience and accessibility by ensuring that every Higher Education course (levels 4-7) has an associated resource list. Talis Aspire is an online resource list management system which connects faculty and students to library holdings directly within their course resource lists. Talis Aspire, the trusted resource list management system used by over 100 institutions, has ranked first in the technical assessment of the Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges Framework for Resource and Reading List Systems. SAGE Sage appoints Khal Rudin as Chief Commercial Officer. Khal Rudin will be appointed to the newly created Chief Commercial Officer role at Sage, accelerating the independent academic publisher's customer-centered approach to business operations and further aligning the business amongst global customers and end-users. For the fifth year, Sage has awarded its annual 10-Year Impact Awards, recognizing the authors of three academic papers with long-term influence. Sage is partnering with Cassyni, the research seminar platform, to enable guest editors to introduce special collection topics using live community seminars. SAGE ResearchGate and Sage expand Journal Home partnership to cover 100 journals. ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Sage, a leading global academic publisher, are excited to announce an expanded partnership that promises greater research impact for Sage open access journals' authors. This collaboration more than doubles the number of open access Sage journals now available through ResearchGate's Journal Home, bringing the total to 100. The expanded agreement builds on an initial collaboration that began in January 2023, and now includes all frontlist and backlist content from open access journals covering a broad range of disciplines. The version-of-record for more than 85,000 open access articles from these 100 journals will now be available to ResearchGate's 25 million-plus researcher members, with new articles from these journals to be made available through ResearchGate upon publication. SAGE Acquisition marks joining of two independent academic publishers. Global independent academic publisher Sage has acquired IOS Press, an independent publisher founded in Amsterdam in 1987 that specializes in health, life, and computer sciences. With this move, Sage acquires nearly 100 journals and a frontlist of 70 plus books each year covering subjects such as neuroscience, medical informatics, cancer research, artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and the semantic web. The acquisition marks significant growth in Sage's open access program with the addition of more than 20 fully OA journals. It also expands core subject areas for Sage, such as psychology and engineering, and marks an investment in new areas such as AI and image processing. [Full Announcement].
