Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation PALCI releases Digital Sharing Strategy. Last week, PALCI released its Digital Sharing Strategy, developed by the EZBorrow Digital Task Force to enhance PALCI's digital sharing capabilities and strengthen access to information across its 80 member libraries. The strategy outlines PALCI's vision and a framework for providing cost-effective and efficient access to information that reflects member library needs, guiding principles, and PALCI's distinctive approach to partnerships and business models to enable digital sharing. Building on 25 years of success with the EZBorrow consortial service for sharing physical collections, the new strategy presents both an aspirational, desired future vision, and a practical guide for expanding resource sharing into digital formats. Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation University Libraries partners with networks to impact Pennsylvania residents. Penn State students know the University Libraries as a place to find course materials and resources or a quiet place to study. As one of the largest research libraries in the United States, the Libraries supports the research success of Penn State faculty and graduate students. Perhaps less well known is the positive impact the Libraries has on the information needs of all Pennsylvanians — and even those beyond the commonwealth. As one of four Statewide Library Resource Centers (SLRC) in Pennsylvania, the University Libraries is part of a network of public libraries, district library centers and regional resource centers created with the passage of the Pennsylvania Library Code in 1961. Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation PALCI reaches partnership milestone, Stockton University joins as 80th member. The Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation welcomed Stockton University's Richard E. Bjork Library as its 80th member institution. Located in Galloway, New Jersey, Stockton joins PALCI's growing consortium of academic and research libraries working together to provide cost-effective, sustainable access to academic resources and services across the region. Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation Hyku for Consortia transitions from pilot phase to full production. The Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation and the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana announced the successful transition of Hyku for Consortia from pilot phase to full production, now serving 40 libraries across four prominent partners in the Hyku Commons: PALCI, PALNI, the Boston Library Consortium, and the Virtual Library of Virginia. This milestone marks a significant achievement for the project, as Hyku for Consortia moves beyond initial testing to provide stable, production-level service supported by a robust, community-driven infrastructure. Additionally, collaborators recently received another round of funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to enhance and sustain the Hyku open-source community. [Full Announcement].

Private Academic Library Network of Indiana PALNI and PALCI awarded IMLS Grant to enhance and sustain Hyku open-source community. The Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation and the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana announced that they have been awarded a $248,600 grant for Sustaining the Hyku Repository Platform: Addressing Hyku's Unique Community Coordination and Collaboration Challenges. The two-year grant is one of 85 given by the Institute of Museum and Library Services to support libraries and archival services across the country and was made through the National Leadership Grants for Libraries and the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program. It aims to strengthen collaborative efforts to ensure Hyku remains a viable, efficient, and sustainable solution for managing and preserving digital content across a diverse range of institutions. Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute joins PALCI, becomes 78th Member Library. The Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation announced that the Libraries at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, an institution long-heralded for its legacy in change-making, especially in scientific and technological advancements, has joined the consortium's membership effective July 1. RPI became the 78th member of PALCI, alongside Le Moyne College, another new PALCI member library from the upstate New York region. [Full Announcement].

Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation Innovative new open access agreement signed between PALCI and ACS Publications. Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation and ACS Publications announced the signing of a new open access agreement that provides participating members with full financial support for open access publication in all ACS journals, as well as complete access to ACS Publications' journal content through the end of 2025. Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation King's College joins Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation (PALCI). The Partnership for Academic Library Collaboration and Innovation welcomed King's College, a Catholic liberal arts college located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to the consortium's membership of 71 academic and research libraries. By joining, King's students and faculty will gain access to PALCI's well-known EZBorrow resource sharing service, which allows PALCI libraries to efficiently share their physical collections. In addition, the King's College Library community will benefit from extensive savings and access to group-purchased online library collections through PALCI's strategic collaborative initiatives.
