Soest Public Library expands its opening hours as an Open Library. Instead of 41 hours as before, Soest residents can now spend 56 hours a week in their library. Nex.365 Open Library makes it possible. The need to expand opening hours to include relevant evening and midday hours on weekdays was obvious. The additional staff-free library hours on Saturday afternoons and Sundays are in line with a modern and community-focused library strategy. The library is now open continuously from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. four days a week. On Saturdays and Sundays, the doors are open until 6 p.m. [Full Announcement].

Munich Public Library modernises all RFID systems with Nexbib. At the beginning of May 2023, another tender process was decided in favour of Nexbib. The technology supplier will renew self-checkout as well as return and sorting systems in all Munich public libraries. The project comprises 27 locations and will be implemented from autumn 2023. Existing RFID systems will be replaced and the new libraries in Bogenhausen, Neuaubing, Riem and Freiham will be re-equipped to meet requirements. [Full Announcement].
