DCA and Koios release new library website survey. As part of their continuing efforts to help libraries thrive online, DCA and Koios.co have released a new survey for librarians designed to shed some light on how library websites are perceived and used. The survey includes questions on discoverability, purpose, and utility and asks how successful librarians think their websites are at supporting the library mission. [Full Announcement].

Koios. Koios announces leadership transition. Koios, the company that manages free Google advertising for public libraries, is announcing a transition in company leadership. On August 1st, Peter Velikonja, Head of Research, succeeded Trey Gordner as the chief executive at Koios. Gordner, Koios' founder, has stepped back to enroll in graduate school, and will become a part-time advisor. [Full Announcement].

Koios. Canadian Librarians Launch Marketing Roundtable. Koios, the company that helps libraries show up first in Google results, made its first appearance at the Marketing Libraries Think Tank 2019 event to share knowledge about search engine marketing (SEM) and to propose a new national roundtable for library marketers.Ontario Library Association’s Marketing Think Tank took place in Toronto on Aug. 15 (http://bit.ly/OLA-ThinkTank19). Forward-thinking library staff gather annually at this event. Koios was a Think Tank sponsor, and its new National Sales Manager for Canada, Beatrice Pitocco, presented a session on SEM, detailing how nonprofit libraries can place free digital ads online via the Google Ad Grants. Koios. Koios expands Into Canada with new sales manager, roundtable. Koios, the company that helps libraries show up first in Google results, has officially expanded its business into Canada. It made its debut in Toronto at Collision, “the fastest-growing tech conference in North America”. To serve the Canadian marketplace, Koios has welcomed Beatrice Pitocco as National Sales Manager. Pitocco’s experience in sales with libraries and digital marketing stretches back to 2004, when she served as the Eastern Canada Sales Executive for EBSCO. Later, she was a Sales Manager for Canada for Innovative Interfaces, Inc., working her way up to National Sales Manager during her 3-year tenure at III. [Full Announcement].

Chattanooga Public Library has partnered with library software startup Koios to make their materials visible in Google search results.
