February 12, 2010

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced that the Montpellier Metropolitan Area Libraries selected V-smart, Infor’s Web-based integrated library system, following one of the largest tenders in France in 2009. The Montpellier Metropolitan Area Libraries will implement V-smart, as well as Infor’s V-insight statistical analysis portal, to manage the libraries’ rich collection of more than one million items and to process more than 1.5 million annual loans.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced today that the Troyes Metropolitan Area Media Center (Médiathèque de l'Agglomération Troyenne - MAT) has selected Infor's suite of automation products. MAT will be implementing V-smart, Infor's web-based integrated library system, alongside Infor's V-spaces federated search application, V-link OpenURL Resolver, and V-insight statistical analysis portal. MAT joins a growing number of prestigious libraries that use Infor's products in France including the City of Paris Library Network, the Academic Library of Sainte-Geneviève University (BSG), La Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) and La Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire de Strasbourg (BNU).

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced that Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, has selected V-smart, Infor's web-based integrated library system. The Peter Turkstra Library at Redeemer University College selected V-smart for both its cost effectiveness and scalable design, which provides students and faculty personalized access to the Library's collections, online learning materials and coursework.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced today that the Biblioteca Nacional Aruba (BNA) in Oranjestad, Aruba, has selected V-smart, Infor's web-based integrated library system. BNA, Aruba's national library, serves over 100,000 residents, including ten schools, through its main location in Oranjestad, a branch library in San Nicolas and two mobile libraries.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced today that the East Baton Rouge Parish Library in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has selected V-smart, Infor's web-based integrated library system, to offer its 386,000 users improved access to the library's collections of more than 2 million items.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced that the London Borough of Barnet, United Kingdom, has selected Vubis Smart, Infor's integrated library system. The Barnet Borough libraries will implement Vubis Smart along with Infor's statistical analysis portal (V-insight) and federated search application (V-spaces), as well as the AquaBrowser search and discovery platform by Medialab Solutions BV.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor Library and Information Solutions announced the general availability of V-smart, a new web-based Integrated Library System. V-smart offers libraries distinctive advantages including faster deployment, easier maintenance, enhanced access to system data, and reduced cost of ownership. V-smart provides libraries the benefits of a web-based system with the features and functionalities of Vubis Smart, Infor's client/server ILS. V-smart does not replace Vubis Smart; Infor continues to provide regular releases, professional services and product support for its Vubis Smart ILS.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced that Renfrewshire Council Libraries located in Paisley, United Kingdom, has selected Vubis Smart, Infor's integrated library system. The Renfrewshire Libraries will implement Vubis Smart along with Infor's statistical analysis portal, V-insight.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced today that Leeds Trinity and All Saints College, located in Leeds, United Kingdom, has selected Vubis Smart, Infor’s integrated Library System. Leeds Trinity and All Saints College will implement Vubis Smart along with Infor’s federated search and information portal (V-spaces), e-resources management application (V-sources), statistical analysis tool (V-insight) and Reading List functionality. Leeds Trinity nad All Saints College will also be implementing AquaBrowser, the “discovery platform” by Medialab Solutions.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced today that two more libraries will join central Belgian consortia using Vubis Smart, Infor's integrated library system. The Public Library of Evere will become part of BruNO, the Brussels Network of Public Libraries. BruNO includes 16 libraries that serve nearly 1 million residents within the region of Brussels.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced the General Secretariat for Gender Equality in Greece has chosen Vubis Smart, Infor’s integrated library system. Vubis Smart will be implemented at the Secretariat’s Library for Women’s Issues along with Infor’s federated search application, V-spaces, and OpenURL Resolver, V-link.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Hutt City in New Zealand has chosen to take advantage of the powerful library search tool created by the integration of Syndetic Solutions, Inc.’s catalogue enrichment services with Geac’s Web OPAC, GeoWeb. This integration adds a new dimension to the research and display capabilities of GeoWeb with the inclusion of full cover images of newly published titles which are linked to additional information such as author notes, reviews and table of contents.

(Infor Library and Information Solutions) Infor announced that Scottish Borders Council has successfully gone live with their Vubis Smart system in 12 libraries. The system will also support the Council’s 6 mobile libraries.
