Eastern Academic Scholars Trust EAST announces new director, Tina Baich, starting July 15, 2024. The Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust Board of Directors is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of a national search for the next EAST Director with the appointment of Tina Baich, succeeding Program Director Emerita Susan Stearns. Eastern Academic Scholars Trust South Carolina Libraries join EAST as the Shared Print Collective Collection continues to grow. Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) announces the addition of 37 new member libraries joining the shared print community from the Partnership Among South Carolina Academic Libraries (PASCAL) consortium in South Carolina. This follows the addition of 41 libraries from VIVA, Virginia's Academic Library Consortium announced earlier this year. [Full Announcement].

Eastern Academic Scholars Trust Shared Print Collections Continue to Grow as More Library Consortia Participate. Shared print programs and the collective collections they create are continuing to grow with the addition of more individual libraries and, increasingly, library consortia joining as a group. This growth expands the lending networks of such programs, making unique and scarcely held titles more accessible to scholars, teachers, students, and researchers across their member libraries. One example of such growth is the recent addition of VIVA, Virginia's Academic Library Consortium to the Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) shared print program. Eleven of the VIVA libraries, including all eight of their doctoral level schools, are joining EAST as Retention Partners. [Full Announcement].

Eastern Academic Scholars Trust Continued growth of Shared Print: USMAI Libraries join the Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust. The Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) is pleased to announce that twelve libraries within the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) Library Consortium are joining the EAST shared print program. These libraries will join the Loyola - Notre Dame Library, a fellow USMAI member, which has been an EAST member since early 2017. [Full Announcement].

Eastern Academic Scholars Trust Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) welcomes Florida libraries, increasing membership to 65 academic and research institutions. The Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust (EAST) is pleased to announce that six of the Florida State University System libraries, plus their shared repository collection, are joining the EAST shared print program. The libraries will join Florida State University, which has been an EAST member since 2016. [Full Announcement].

Eastern Academic Scholars Trust Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust announces key appointments. The Eastern Academic Scholars Trust, a major new shared print initiative among 47 libraries across New England, New York and Pennsylvania with important grant support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Davis Educational Foundation, is pleased to announce the addition of two key staff to the project as well as the election of the EAST Executive Committee. Eastern Academic Scholars Trust Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust [EAST] launches: Large Shared Print initiative across libraries in the Northeast focuses on ensuring access to Ssholarly materials. The Eastern Academic Scholars' Trust, a major new shared print initiative, launches on July 1st with important grant support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the Davis Educational Foundation. The 47 member libraries of EAST, across New England, New York and Pennsylvania, will collaborate to retain agreed upon titles in their local circulating collections as well as make them available to lend to other EAST members, thereby ensuring continued access to the scholarly record of print monographs and journals.
