The Open Window Institute, together with its sister-institution, Creative Academy, have adopted the FOLIO Library Services Platform. The implementation was managed and completed by local service partner Universal Knowledge Software and EBSCO Information Services. EBSCO Information Services introduces Pathways to Research to help students become better researchers. EBSCO Information Services has released Pathways to Research, a new proprietary suite of products consisting of curated research summaries, to help students build college-level research skills. EBSCO will roll out subject-specific Pathways to Research products designed to bridge the gap from encyclopedic and general resources often used in high school, to the more authoritative, journal-based sources needed for college-level research. These products are designed to help students learn the best way to conduct and synthesize research. Pathways to Research provides searchable, curated research summaries to help high school and college students develop strong research skills. The products also provide links to thousands of related scholarly articles in the designated subject area for a comprehensive research experience. SCEL partners with EBSCO Information Services to Expand Panorama data capabilities and showcase SCELC libraries' value. EBSCO Information Services is partnering with one of the largest academic consortiums in the United States, the Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium, to provide consortium staff with EBSCO's analytics tool, Panorama. In addition to benefiting from Panorama's known features, including a self-service platform for data discovery, default and custom visual dashboards, and customizable data sources, SCELC will work with EBSCO to expand Panorama's brand-new, Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System data dashboard and build a new tool for visualizing diversity in shared print collections. The National Research Council becomes the first institution in Latin Europe to adopt the Panorama platform from EBSCO Information Services. DynaMed and DynaMedex now offering maintenance of certification to American Board of Pediatrics board-certified pediatricians. American Board of Pediatrics board-certified pediatricians can now earn Maintenance of Certification through EBSCO Information Services' DynaMed and DynaMedex. These point-of-care tools are part of EBSCO's Clinical Decisions support solutions, intended to improve patient outcomes by providing evidence-based information to physicians at the point of care. The Recent Announcement from the Library of Congress has EBSCO Information Services Looking for a New Word for Next-Gen. On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the Library of Congress announced that it will be migrating to FOLIO using EBSCO FOLIO Services to “transform collections management and access” via its Library Collections Access Platform. The announcement made it clear that the Library of Congress saw the decision to move to FOLIO as a way “to further develop and implement a new, open-source IT platform that will revolutionize how the Library's vast physical and digital collections are managed and made accessible for the public, Congress, Library employees and other institutions.” [Full Announcement].

EBSCO Information Services releases Serials Price Projection Report for 2023. EBSCO Information Services has published the 2023 Serials Price Projection Report. This year's report projects that the overall effective publisher price increases for academic and academic medical libraries are expected to be (before any currency impact) in the range of three to five percent for individual e-journal titles, two to three percent for e-journal packages and four to six percent for print titles. MOBIUS selects FOLIO via EBSCO Information Services and ReShare Returnables from Project ReShare. MOBIUS has announced that it has selected and will be implementing EBSCO FOLIO from EBSCO Information Services as its new library services platform as well as ReShare Returnables from Project ReShare as its new resource sharing system. These two new systems will replace Innovative Interfaces' Sierra and INN-Reach systems. MOBIUS will begin the migration process in late 2022 with plans to be fully operational by the spring of 2024. Both EBSCO FOLIO and ReShare Returnables are truly modern systems based on the way today's libraries work. FOLIO is a community driven, open source platform that supports traditional library operations just like a traditional integrated library system and positions MOBIUS for greater community collaboration around knowledge management. FOLIO was launched in 2016 and it was designed to encourage innovation. EBSCO FOLIO provides hosting and service support from EBSCO Information Services as part of EBSCO FOLIO Services. NoveList, a division of EBSCO Information Services, has launched BookChat, a service designed to help libraries better provide high-quality readers' advisory services to patrons via an optional chat service found inside NoveList Plus. BookChat will support libraries that may lack the staff resources, hours or expertise to provide fast and easy recommendations to patrons on the spot. EBSCO Information Services Announces 2022 EBSCO Solar Grant Winners. EBSCO Information Services will be awarding $300,000 in grants to four libraries looking to further their sustainability goals. John D. MacArthur Campus Library at Florida Atlantic University, Florida; Shirley M. Wright Memorial Library, Wisconsin; Lincoln Library, Vermont; and Alan Batey Library and Learning Commons at Camosun College, British Columbia, Canada, will each receive an EBSCO Solar Grant to pay for the installation of a solar array.
