D-Tech announces Cary Cooper, an International Management and Operations specialist, has been appointed as the new CEO of library technology provider D-Tech International USA. Company Founder Marvin Crisp will continue in his role as President, but due to increasing demands around the company's growing international presence, new CEO Cary Cooper will take over the day-to-day Management and Operations of D-Tech USA. D-Tech International Ltd. D-Tech International announces new Canadian reseller agreement with Ristech Company Inc.. D-Tech International announced its new reseller, Ristech Company Inc. to serve the Canadian library market. Ristech is a leading global distributor of automated digitization solutions. Ristech currently offers a broad selection of products, including document, micrographic, large format and book scanners. Beginning immediately, Ristech will sell D-Tech’s full range of library solutions including self-service solutions: computeIT laptop lending, holdIT reservations/pickup for remote locations, and lendIT modular lending; perimeter-based security systems: radio-frequency (RF), electromagnetic (EM) and radio-frequency identification (RFID) and related labels. D-Tech International Ltd. D-Tech International is a recipient of the 2017 Modern Library Platinum Award and Gold Award. D-Tech International announced that it is the recipient of the 2017 Modern Library Platinum Award for its ComputeIT laptop lending kiosk system and also recipient of the 2017 Modern Library Gold Award for its innovative RFID solutions. D-Tech has received both awards in LibraryWorks' third annual Modern Library Awards. The MLAs were created to recognize the top product innovations in the library industry. Products were submitted in the fall using a simple application and were then posted on a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These products were batched into small groups and sent to the library database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products in their facility were permitted to judge the products, resulting in a truly unbiased score. Each judge scored the product on a numerical basis from 1-10 on a series of questions regarding functionality, value, customer service, etc. [Full Announcement].

D-Tech International Ltd. D-Tech International introduces innovative library mobile app to US public and academic libraries. D-Tech International announced the introduction of appIT, a library app developed exclusively for patrons to use on mobile devices. The library app is the first app of its kind in the library market and has been designed and developed by D-Tech. Utilizing either barcode or RFID technology, D-Tech has developed the library app to perform multiple functions that would have been previously performed at the physical location. These features include checkout of items, checking of account status, account payments, renew items, check library locations and hours of operation, chat with a librarian and more. The app also has the capability to switch the RFID tag’s security OFF to allow full integration with all RFID implementations. [Full Announcement].

D-Tech announced the installation of their eVendit self-service public computer vending system at Robbins Library in Arlington, Massachusetts.
