Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Sunnyvale Library Upgrades to Bibliotheca RFID Solutions. Bibliotheca announced that the Sunnyvale Public Library is purchasing a range of the company’s BiblioChip RFID technology-based sorting, security and self-check solutions, including a 21-bin automated materials handling system that represents the library’s first investment in AMH technology. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Bibliotheca Experiences Expansive Growth in RFID Sales in 2009. Bibliotheca announced that the company year to date in 2009 has more than doubled North American sales of its RFID solutions for libraries over the same period in 2008. These robust sales of Bibliotheca’s BiblioChip technology-based security, self-check, and sorting solutions contributed to 34 percent growth in the company’s global sales, with the North American region accounting for more than 50 percent of the company’s worldwide results in the first half of 2009. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Library Technology Veteran Joins Bibliotheca. Bibliotheca announced that Stephanie Baker Yeager joined the company on June 1 as North American project and operations manager. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Minuteman Library Network signs with Bibliotheca for RFID solutions. Bibliotheca announced that three member libraries of the Minuteman Library Network, headquartered in Framingham, Mass., have selected the company for a wide range of open, industry-standard BiblioChip-based RFID tags, self-check stations, security gates and staff solutions, as well as professional services. Bibliotheca Inc announced that Multnomah County Library has chosen the company to provide a range of BiblioChip RFID solutions for use at its central library in Portland, Ore., and at branches throughout the county. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Santa Clara County Library Invests in Bibliotheca Self-check, Security and Automated Sorting Solutions. Bibliotheca Inc. announced that the Santa Clara County Library is purchasing a range of the company’s BiblioChip RFID technology-based solutions, including Bibliotheca’s Orion self-check stations for library patrons, Biblio StaffStations for easy replacement of barcodes with RFID tags and new enhanced BiblioGate VI 3D security gates at each of the library’s outlets. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Missouri Library Selects Bibliotheca to Expand RFID Solutions. Bibliotheca Inc., open RFID solutions announced that the Poplar Bluff (MO) Public Library has selected the company’s RFID solutions for a newly renovated addition to the library’s facilities. Poplar Bluff Public Library has purchased Bibliotheca’s customized, ISO-compliant BiblioChip RFID book tags to interoperate with the library’s existing patron self-check and library staff stations, as well as transparent, 3D-detection BiblioGate security gates with built-in GateTracker patron-counting software . Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Bibliotheca and iTeam Announce Strategic Partnership. Bibliotheca announced a strategic partnership with iTeam Resources Inc., a library industry leader in PC and print management solutions. This partnership will result in the seamless integration of iTeam PC and print management software products with Bibliotheca’s BiblioChip self-service software interface, which already integrates with a wide range of integrated library systems. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Bibliotheca Announces New On-the-fly RFID Conversion Software. Bibliotheca announced non-proprietary “on-the-fly” RFID conversion software that allows libraries equipped with barcodes the flexibility to convert to RFID at the self-check station or book return as patrons complete routine check-out/check-in of library materials. The RFID conversion software helps unburden libraries from the amount of time, labor and cost needed to convert entire collections from barcodes to RFID. Bibliotheca’s flexible, patent-pending BiblioChip conversion software will work with Bibliotheca’s line of self-check stations and book returns, as well as products from other vendors. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. St. Louis County Public Library and Bibliotheca Successfully Complete Phase 1 of RFID Project. Bibliotheca announced that St. Louis County Public Library has successfully completed the first phase of the library’s implementation of the BiblioChip RFID System. Begun in March 2008, the project involved installation of Bibliotheca RFID solutions — including self-check kiosks, security gates, staff stations and other staff tools — at five of the library’s 20 branches. The library system currently has 3 million items and an annual circulation of 9 million. [Full Announcement].

Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems. Meridian Library Pioneers Use of Bibliotheca Hybrid RFID Solutions. Bibliotheca announced that it will provide the Meridian Library District in Meridian, Idaho, with a range of BiblioChip Hybrid RFID solutions that work with both the electromagnetic strips and RFID tags used by the library and the consortium of which it is a member. The Meridian library will use Bibliotheca products in its new Silver Stone branch to provide visually attractive self-service stations for use by patrons, to enhance productivity for library staff and to set the stage for the library’s transition from EM to RFID. The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, located in Williamstown, Massachusetts, has chosen Bibliotheca as their RFID technology provider. The Clark’s library, considered one of the premier art reference libraries in the United States for the study of European and American art from the Renaissance to the present, will outfit their prestigious collection of over 230,000 printed books, bound periodicals and auction sales catalogues with Bibliotheca RFID tags for inventorying and tracking purposes. Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems and NXP Semiconductors announced that Max Planck Institute for European History of Law, a prominent German research institution, will be the first to implement the latest in long-term RFID asset management technology.
