Ameritech Library Services. San Jose Public Library installs Horizon from Ameritech Library Services. The San Jose Public Library has gone live with the Horizon system from Ameritech Library Services. Along with Horizon, the library installed Amlibs'' WebPAC so now patrons can access the library''s collections via the Internet for the first time. [Full Announcement].

Ameritech Library Services. Ameritech Library Services to be acquired by 21st Century Group and Green Leaf Ridge Co.. Ameritech Library Services, 21st Century Group, LLC, and Green Leaf Ridge, LLC today announced an agreement under which Ameritech, a company of SBC Communications, Inc., will sell ALS to a private investment group led by 21st Century Group and Green Leaf Ridge Company. The transaction is subject to approval by the SBC Communications Board of Directors. Berenson Minella & Company acted as financial advisor to Ameritech Corporation in connection with this transaction. [Full Announcement].

Ameritech Library Services. Ameritech Library Services and CPS Systems Inc. combine resource-sharing product technology. Ameritech Library Services and CPS Systems Inc. are combining their resource-sharing technologies. ALS will re-license CPS’’s Universal Resource Sharing Application software and will employ CPS’’s URSA support and development staff to ensure a complete integration of URSA with ALS’’s Resource Sharing System. Ameritech Library Services is establishing an International Implementation Center to enhance the coordination of international versions of its software products.
