(Lyrasis) LYRASIS announces the release of a new study, "Understanding the Landscape of Library Accessibility for Online Materials". The study was undertaken in an effort to map the landscape of accessibility policies and practices for online resources as managed by libraries and archives across the United States. The study can be accessed on the LYRASIS website.

(Overdrive) Traveling in the car during summer vacations or rush hour can be tedious, but now drivers can enjoy listening to audiobooks more easily and safely than ever – and for free. Libby, the award-winning one-tap reading app available from 90 percent of public libraries in North America, is now compatible with Apple CarPlay. This feature allows iPhone users with a valid library card to quickly access and control audiobooks through their vehicle’s dashboard display and listen through the sound system. The Libby app, which is also compatible with Android Auto, was created by Rakuten OverDrive, the leading digital reading platform for libraries and schools worldwide.

(Ohio University) Ohio University Libraries has been awarded a $1.2 million grant to develop the Southeast Asia Digital Library in collaboration with 14 other institutions.

(Villanova University) Version 6.0 of the VuFind Open Source discovery software has just been released. This major release brings some aspects of the code more up to date while also adding several new features and fixes.

(Auto-Graphics, Inc.) Auto-Graphics, Inc. announces that Southern California Library Cooperative (SCLC) has purchased MONTAGE for its members. SCLC, one of nine state library systems as defined by the California State Library, serves 39 independent city, county, and library district libraries located in the Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. MONTAGE is a part of SCLC’s DigiLab program, a digital archiving and collaboration project, which allows participating members to scan and add their own unique content, in order to publish on a public, digital platform.

(Lyrasis) To help guide and steward the recent merger of LYRASIS and DuraSpace - four new Board of Trustees Members were elected by the combined memberships, and four new Board of Trustees were appointed. This brings LYRASIS' FY 2020 Board to 13 members, seven elected and six appointed.

(Patron Point) Patron Point announced that the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service, Oregon, has implemented its patron relationship management system for use by both central staff and member libraries.

(Amigos Library Services) Amigos Library Services announced a partnership with the Texas State Library and Archives Commission on the E-Read Texas program to bring electronic book (e-book) access to Texans served by small community libraries. This is part of a multi-phased statewide project to enhance public library e-book collections.

(Equinox) Equinox welcomed Adams County Library System to Evergreen with their successful migration to the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS) SPARK Consortium.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America’s forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that Sterling College, Mabee Library, in Sterling, Kansas is now live on Koha! ByWater completed the transition of the library’s 47,000 plus holdings from Liblime ILS and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(Andrew W. Mellon Foundation) The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation announced the appointment of Emil Kang as Program Director for Arts and Cultural Heritage. In this role, Kang will lead the Foundation’s grantmaking program that seeks to nurture exceptional creative accomplishment, scholarship, and art conservation practices while promoting a diverse and sustainable ecosystem for the arts.
