(Copyright Clearance Center) Copyright Clearance Center announced the appointment of Jill Shuman as Director of Product Engagement. In this role, Shuman will focus on customer engagement and development of products and services that meet their emerging needs.

(Talis) Following a tender process, the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) have selected Talis Aspire to manage their online reading lists. As UHI is comprised of 13 independent colleges and research institutions, the need for a reliable online delivery of resources is key to students and academics.

(EBSCO Information Services) The 2019 Serials Price Projection Report from EBSCO Information Services is now available. The report projects that the overall effective publisher price increases for academic and academic medical libraries are expected to be in the range of five to six percent (before currency impact). EBSCO releases the Serials Price Projection Report based on surveys of a wide range of publishers and reviews historical serials pricing data to assist information professionals as they make budgeting decisions for the renewals season.

(TIND) The University of California, Berkeley has selected the TIND Digital Archive (TIND DA) to manage its extensive digital collections. TIND DA will allow UC Berkeley to migrate the many existing digital collections from various sources and systems, as well as providing workflows for contributing newly digitized and converted material into one central location.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the company has achieved certification for ISO/IEC 27017:2015, an international standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO/IEC 27017:2015 provides a code of practice for information security controls, including guidelines that expand upon the ISO/IEC 27002 standard by adding security controls specifically related to cloud computing.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic partnered with Johnson County (KS) Library System to design and install a unique, custom automated materials handling solution, that includes a drive up book drop and overhead conveyance leading to a 7-bin, single-sided sorter for their new, highly-anticipated Monticello branch.

(RedLink) RedLink Network announced new members of its Advisory Council for the new term. Continuing their service are Ann Michael, President, DeltaThink; Howard Ratner, Executive Director, CHORUS/CHOR Inc.; Andrea Lopez, Sales Director, Annual Reviews; and Brian McCallister, CTO of Platform, Groupon. (TIND) Skidmore College has selected the TIND Digital Archive to replace CONTENTdm as the platform for its digitized primary source collections.

(OCLC) OCLC Research, in partnership with the Canadian Association of Research Libraries, is currently conducting a survey on innovation trends and priorities in research libraries. The survey is being sent to library directors at 31 institutions in Canada.
