February 11, 2019

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic partnered with the Morgantown Public Library branch of the Morgantown Public Library System, serving Monongalia County, WVa., during the conversion of its collection to RFID. Morgantown has purchased RFID tags, tagging and staff station equipment, RFID security gates and the platinum award-winning CircTRAK shelf management system, which locates materials shown in the catalog as lost, missing, trace, claimed returned, and more. The library's goals for this conversion are to improve staff efficiencies and improve shelf management and security. In the future the library plans to offer streamlined RFID patron self-checkout.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic announced that Jeff McDaniel has joined the company as a Senior Solutions Specialist for the Southeast U.S. region. Most recently McDaniel served as Vice President of International Business Development and Customized Library Services for Baker & Taylor. He will provide consultative services for libraries to implement Tech Logic solutions.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic partnered with Hennepin County Public Library to design and install custom automated materials handling solutions for the Ridgedale Branch that include 37-bin and 3-bin UltraSorts.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic partnered with Johnson County (KS) Library System to design and install a unique, custom automated materials handling solution, that includes a drive up book drop and overhead conveyance leading to a 7-bin, single-sided sorter for their new, highly-anticipated Monticello branch.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic has partnered with Flagstaff-City Coconino County Public Library (AZ) to design and install custom automated materials handling solutions that include a 9-bin sorter, a 5-bin sorter, and new drive-up and walk-up book drops with conveyance at their Main Library and East Flagstaff Community Library branches.

(Tech Logic) In partnership with Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, Tech Logic completed the installation of a seven-bin Automated Materials Handling system ahead of schedule at the new Madison Public Library. The library selected a Tech Logic UltraSort Automated Materials Handling system featuring both internal and external drive-up "throw and go" book drops and ergonomic SmartBins. Customizations included a small, 7-degree turn to the internal drop, to accommodate an angled wall. A subtle but elegant job of trimming and positioning purpose-built steel fit the planned space perfectly.

(Tech Logic) In partnership with Sarasota County Public Library, Tech Logic completed the installation of a nine-bin Automated Materials Handling system at the new Shannon Staub Public Library located on the campus of Suncoast Technical College in North Port, Fl. The library selected a Tech Logic UltraSort AMH featuring both internal and external drive-up "throw and go" book drops, ergonomic SmartBins™, and built-in fire suppression as well as a complete suite of RFID workflow tools and CircIT self-checkout stations.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic announced the recent hire of Nicole Johnson and David Degrandchamp, who in October, joined the Tech Logic team as Senior Solutions Specialists for the Northeast U.S. and eastern Canadian territories, and North Central U.S. and central Canadian territories respectively.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic Inc. announced that co-founder Mark Frich, has died. He was 66 years old. The thoughts of Tech Logic's board, management and employees are with Mark's family.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic, inventors of Automated Materials Handling for libraries, and a leading provider of both RFID and barcode-based self-checkout, announced today the release of a new, enhanced CircIT™ FLEX self-checkout user interface design. The new CircIT™ FLEX interface is available to all new and existing customer libraries on their hardware choice of standalone touchscreen kiosk, desktop kiosk, patented staff-monitored "Combo" station, and even as software for library-supplied hardware.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic is excited to announce that Nicholson Memorial Library System in Garland, Texas has selected Tech Logic to provide both Automated Materials Handling and Self-Checkout solutions. Tech Logic will provide the library system with 6 Automated Material Handling Systems, 11 FLEX Self-Checkout stations, security gates for all branch libraries and other RFID equipment.

(Tech Logic) Robert "Bob" Rohlf, a legend of the library profession, consultant, and co-founder of Tech Logic Corporation, has passed away. Bob's career as a librarian spanned more than forty years and included directorship and executive roles at Hennepin County Public Library (HCPL), Minneapolis Public Library, Dakota-Scott Regional Library, and The Library of Congress where he was the Administrative Director. After retiring from HCPL Bob led the Robert Rohlf Associates consulting firm utilizing numerous library experts to provide professional advice for new building projects around the world.

(Tech Logic) Sarasota County Library System selected Tech Logic to provide Automated Material Handling at the new Shannon Staub Library.
