(Follett) As the 2019 Follett Challenge entry deadline nears, schools and K-12 districts hoping to showcase their innovative educational programs and share in the $200,000 in products and/or services will need to finish their entries soon. The deadline to enter is 1 p.m. EST Friday, Dec. 14, and there are vast resources available on the website (www.FollettChallenge.com) to help entrants get started or complete the process.

Designed to be seamlessly integrated into instruction, “Classroom Ready Collections” include lesson plans, activities, videos, interactives, and worksheets that are easily searchable and discoverable within Follett Destiny.

(Follett) Follett and Kwame Alexander, one of the country’s most acclaimed and innovative children’s book authors, today announced they have formed a partnership to launch All Books for All Kids, a literacy campaign to ensure children have access to a wide range of books no matter their background. The partnership will be formally introduced Saturday (Oct. 13) in Miami, where Alexander is touring to promote his new book, Swing.

The storefront features the same great selection of books that early childhood, elementary and middle school students shopped for during their school’s Follett Book Fair. The storefront gives parents and students an opportunity to preview available titles at an upcoming event and offers convenient online shopping after the fair.

(Follett) Follett announced its bustling one-year-old book fair business is expanding for the 2018-19 school year to offer fairs focused for early childhood (PreK-1) and middle school (grades 6-8). Follett Book Fairs launched a year ago on a regional basis with fairs designed especially for K-6 and K-8 schools.

(Follett) Follett announced that it has acquired Fishtree, a leading adaptive learning platform that streamlines both the technical integration and educational adoption of personalized learning in school classrooms. Follett will integrate the machine-based learning tools of Fishtree within Follett’s industry leading Destiny content and resource management platform used by more than 70,000 schools and school districts across North America. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

(Follett) Follett has again achieved Massachusetts School Interoperability Framework (SIF) certification and its Massachusetts SIS/SIF contract has been renewed through June 2019. All student information system (SIS) vendors, such as Follett with its Aspen solution, must be certified before they may secure contracts with districts in the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.

(Follett) Follett’s Aspen Student Information System (SIS), which already is firmly established in Rhode Island as a partner to 50 percent of the state’s K-12 school districts, has again earned preferred vendor status from the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE). When purchasing a new SIS, school districts and RIDE can continue to adopt Follett’s Aspen without first issuing a request for proposal.

(Follett) Follett announced it has successfully completed the Ed-Fi Data Standard Certification for its Aspen Student Information System (SIS). Developed by a community of ed-tech experts and technologists, the Ed-Fi Data Standard is a set of rules for the collection, management, and organization of educational data that allows multiple systems to exchange this information seamlessly. Follett’s Aspen Student Information System hosts and manages student data, safely and securely stores data such as class schedules, student performance, health records, and athletic eligibility, and allows educators to closely monitor student progress, implement new curriculum, and conveniently communicate with parents.
