(EBSCO Industries) Black Diamond Capital Management announced that it has acquired Valley Joist from EBSCO Industries, Inc. Valley Joist has been a leading joist and deck manufacturer since 1958. Black Diamond owns and operates Bayou Steel Group, among other steel related businesses.

(EBSCO Industries) NAPCO, a leading specialty packaging provider, founded in 1977, announced today it has agreed to acquire the assets of Vulcan Information Packaging (including Binders.com), a division of EBSCO Industries. Vulcan (VIP) will operate as an independent subsidiary of NAPCO under their current leadership team in their current facility in Vincent, AL.

(EBSCO Industries) On February 20, 2015, EBSCO Information Services, the largest provider of research content, search services, and delivery platforms to libraries worldwide, acquired YBP Library Services, the market leader in delivering over 12 million print and digital books to academic, research and special libraries. EBSCO Industries also announced the acquisition of a majority interest in All Current Electrical Sales. On February 18, 2015, this New Jersey-based reseller/distributor of electrical components including conduit fittings, controls, circuit breakers, and custom electrical panel assemblies with a total of over 100,000 SKUs became a part of the diverse family of EBSCO businesses.

(EBSCO Industries) The print index, Doctoral Dissertations Accepted by American Universities (DDAAU), is now available digitally as American Doctoral Dissertations 1933-1955ô. EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston worked together to digitize the content and build the free database from the volumes originally published by the H.W. Wilson Company. This effort was made possible through a donation from the H.W. Wilson Foundation.

(EBSCO Industries) Mike Gorrell has been promoted to Chief Information Officer of EBSCO. Gorrell has been with EBSCO for nearly 20 years and has led the growth and excellence of the Technology operation for EBSCO Publishing and most recently EBSCO Information Services as their CIO for the last 15 years. The EIS Technology operation numbers over 440 team members, with roughly 260 in Ipswich, Mass., 140 in Birmingham, Ala., and the remainder in offices in Colorado, Europe and India.

(EBSCO Industries) Atypon Systems and EBSCO Online, Inc. announced that Atypon has acquired the Metapress business from EBSCO Online, which has made the decision to discontinue the Metapress platform. Atypon and EBSCO will work together to transition Metapress clients to Atyponís Literatum platform. Under the terms of the agreement, Metapress will continue to service its current clients through the transition.
