(Gale Group) Libraries Connect Ohio has partnered with Gale, a Cengage company, to provide more than 2,500 school, academic and public libraries throughout Ohio with free access to Gale digital resources through LCO and its partners – OhioLINK, OPLIN and InfOhio. These new resources provide Ohio residents and students with reliable, high-quality content that supports education and teaching, lifelong learning, research and personal enrichment.
(Urban Libraries Council) Public libraries are uniquely positioned to support individuals in pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams by offering free access to technology, meeting spaces, skills training, information and networking opportunities. However, there is no set model for how libraries can best leverage those assets, and there are opportunities for all libraries to elevate their position in their community’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
(Third Chapter Partners) Patron Point announced that the Urbandale Public Library has selected Patron Point as its patron relationship management system. "We want to explore more patron-centered communications that draw upon an individual’s interests," states Julie Wells, Director of the Urbandale Public Library. “That way we can deepen our relationships with patrons and, ultimately, increase use of our collections, services, and programs.”

(Gale Group) Data analytics has helped Yolo County Library improve program outcomes and services. The library is using Analytics On Demand from Gale, a Cengage company, to better understand the households in its communities and design customized library services and resources to fit their needs. Now, Yolo County librarians can make data-driven decisions to identify new outreach strategies that promote their programs to the communities they serve.
(OCLC) Bart Murphy, an innovative technology leader with significant application development and infrastructure management experience, has been named Chief Technology and Information Officer of OCLC.
(EBSCO Information Services) Libraries can now offer patrons and researchers access to a unique historical archive of literary and cultural commentary, spanning more than 150 years of American history. Now available through EBSCO Information Services, The Atlantic Magazine Archive, 1857-2014, is a complete archive of the leading monthly magazine, The Atlantic. The archive enables libraries to expand their special collections with a valuable historical resource for past and contemporary research.

(Lucidea) Lucidea is the parent company to a full portfolio of knowledge management, library automation, legal intranet and museums and archives collections management solutions. They made great strides in 2018 with exciting upgrades to their ILS and KM applications, new products for the museums and archives sectors, a new office in Melbourne, Australia, and two new books from their publishing arm, Lucidea Press.
(OCLC) OCLC partnered with Springer Nature to automate e-resource management workflows, eliminating the need for manual intervention by library staff.
(Innovative Interfaces, Inc.) Innovative Interfaces announced the appointment of Joe McMorris as Global Chief Information Officer. Committed to providing the industry’s highest technical and security standards, Innovative has designated McMorris to support and extend Innovative services offerings for security, hosting, monitoring, disaster recovery, compliance and managed services for libraries across 66 countries. Prior to joining Innovative, McMorris served as CIO at Wolters Kluwer overseeing cloud hosting and database operations for the Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Linguistics Abstracts Online is a bibliographic database providing high-quality, cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts from leading linguistics and language study journals. The database provides linguistics scholars with a broad range of materials for keeping up-to-date with emerging trends and important developments in the field.
