(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the University of New Hampshire has chosen the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution. The UNH Library is the 11th member of the Boston Library Consortium to adopt the Alma and Primo solutions.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that Drexel University, one of the 15 largest private universities in the United States, has opted to become an early adopter of the Ex Libris Esploro research services platform. The Esploro solution will broaden the impact of Drexel’s research output and maximize the efficiency of managing research data and publications for global discovery and access through a campus-wide partnership led by the Libraries.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the Ex Libris Esploro research services platform will now be available to all Esploro development partners. The first release of Esploro represents an important phase in the development of a unified research platform that will lead to broader impact of research output, greater productivity, and increased collaboration. Esploro development partners are already beginning to implement the first release, which supports the deposit and management of several research data types, as well as streamlined metadata handling that enables libraries, research offices, and researchers to work together on research projects.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris gibt bekannt, dass 13 Mitglieder des Österreichischen Bibliothekenverbundes (OBV) und der Österreichischen Bibliothekenverbund und Service GmbH (OBVSG) ihre Verbunddatenbank erfolgreich in eine Network Zone der Bibliotheksdienstplattform Ex Libris Alma® migriert haben. Diese Zone dient als Katalogisierungssystem für alle OBV-Mitglieder, einschließlich derer, die das System Ex Libris Aleph® oder Ex Libris Alephino einsetzen, bis diese zur Alma-Plattform migriert wurden. Die Migration wird voraussichtlich 2021 abgeschlossen sein.
(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that 13 members of the Österreichische Bibliothekenverbund (Austrian Library Network, or OBV) and the Österreichische Bibliothekenverbund und Service GmbH (Austrian Library Network and Service, or OBVSG), have successfully migrated their federated database to a network zone of the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform. This zone will serve as the cataloging system for all OBV members, including those running the Ex Libris Aleph or Ex Libris Alephino® system, until the latter have migrated to the Alma platform. The migration is expected to be completed in 2021.

Liberty University is the largest private, nonprofit university in the United States and the largest university in Virginia. Alma will be implemented alongside the school’s Summon discovery service. The Alma platform will facilitate the management and delivery of resources and support Summon’s robust patron-facing discovery services.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the Fondazione Biblioteca Europea di Informazione e Cultura (European library of information and culture, or BEIC) has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Rosetta digital asset management and preservation solution to more effectively manage the resources of BEIC’s digital collections. The BEIC Foundation will be replacing its open source software and migrating its current local installation of the Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to a cloud-based implementation.

This public portal provides Ex Libris customers and potential customers with in-depth information about the security, privacy, compliance, and availability of Ex Libris solutions. The new Trust Center includes an area specifically designed to help customers prepare for the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will come into effect on May 25, 2018.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the State University of New York has chosen the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to be used by 61 libraries of the university system. The next-generation Alma platform will replace the Ex Libris Aleph integrated library system, while the Primo solution will be implemented in place of the various discovery layers that have been in use up to now, including the EBSCO Discovery Service.
