(Innovative Interfaces, Inc.) Innovative Interfaces today announced the appointment of Amy Hayes as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Hayes is responsible for leading the company’s corporate and product marketing, brand strategy, and global communications.

(Lyrasis) LYRASIS has been awarded a grant in the amount of $90,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to research current technology uses in museums, especially in relationship to collections information management.

(ProQuest) ProQuest is adding 24 primary sources to its offering through the Jisc Digital archival collections group purchasing pilot, following the successful adoption of its databases by 20 universities during the initial period earlier this year. The Jisc program’s goal is to lower customer cost, leveraging the collective purchasing power of UK Higher Education Institutions to enable wider adoption of digital archives. The program will now run through July 2018.

(Springer) Springer Nature has launched a one-year pilot with PaperHive, a market-leading annotation system and copyright-compliant collaborative research platform. The partnership focuses on increasing reader engagement of university students with academic literature in various fields including biomedicine, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The pilot phase comprises books and textbooks from Springer and Springer Spektrum, the leading publisher for classical and digital educational media in the field of natural sciences and mathematics in the German-speaking region.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the Swiss National Library has selected the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution.

(Innovative Interfaces, Inc.) Innovative announced that Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, has selected the Sierra integrated library system and the Encore Duet discovery layer for the Eli M. Oboler Library and satellite locations. From certificate-level to post-graduate, the libraries at ISU support information needs for a substantial 250 academic programs, serving over 13,000 students. Including government documents, the entire university collection holds nearly one million items.

(MOBIUS) The MOBIUS Consortium announced today the launch of MOBIUS Open Source Solutions (MOSS), offering technical and operational support services for libraries that currently have or are considering an Evergreen open source ILS implementation. (Insight Informatics) Central Coast Library Services has become LIBERO’s largest hosted solution in LIBERO Cloud, following the merge between Gosford and Wyong Councils. Central Coast Council now consists of 11 branches, 2 community libraries and a Bookmobile covering 1,600km2 with a population of around 330,000, making it LIBERO’s largest Cloud based customer.
