(SirsiDynix) The Customers of SirsiDynix Users Group conference, COSUGI, took place in April of this year. The opening session was hosted by SirsiDynix executives where the annual “Power of Libraries Awards” were introduced. The recipients of this award were recognized at COSUGI.Earlier this year, SirsiDynix sent out an invitation requesting libraries to submit stories about their inspirational programs that are making a difference in their communities. After reviewing each story, SirsiDynix decided on three different libraries as the recipients of this year’s award—Kenosha Public Library, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library, and Enoch Pratt Free Library.

The ILS comprises the backbone of a library’s technology environment, tying together transactions and data about patron checkouts and holds, ordering and cataloging new materials and it powers what patrons see on the library’s website.

(SirsiDynix) SirsiDynix and the LOUIS consortium are excited to announce the addition of Loyola Law School to the SD family. Previously an Innovative customer, Loyola Law School will be migrating to SirsiDynix Symphony, joining with the rest of the Loyola University New Orleans Campus into the LOUIS consortium. This brings LOUIS to a total of 36 Louisiana colleges and universities that are part of the Symphony ILS initiative.

(SirsiDynix) The Merrimack Valley Library Consortium is one of the newest members of the SirsiDynix family. Formerly a Horizon library, MVLC spent the last few years as an Open Source customer. However, in early 2017 they chose to rejoin the SirsiDynix family and become a Symphony library on the Enterprise discovery system. Merrimack Valley Library Consortium went live with Enterprise earlier this year.
