IMDS Circulation is live at several sites. The release includes:
- Quick link to Patron Information from charge, Return, Renew, Holds, and Item Details
- Easy interface for placing holds on multiple titles for a single patron or placing holds far multiple patrons on single title
- More user options for viewing the results of Renew All. Can limit view to just items renewed or just items not renewed
- clone patron information for easy registration of multiple users at the same address
- Graphical calendars far easy selection of staff-assigned due dates and patron expiration dates
- More user control for charge, Renewal, Hold Shelf, Hold In-transit, In-Transit, and Fine Negotiation receipts
- Easy to use graphical interface for all Item Maintenance activities (Quick Edit and Delete, Express conversion, Moving and Transferring items)
- Companion searcher window, with all the access points supported by your CARL catalog, and data presentation optimized for staff functions
- Hourly loans for non-Reserve items
- Library definable fee categories far easy assessing of common service fees (eg: room rental, bus passes, "gold card" service levels
- Full security that allows authorized staff to use functions without keying in function-specific passwords
- Extensive online help
- Visual indication of security level for each function—supervisor overrides always available for restricted functions
Features for Global version:
- Replicates all of the global functionality in text-based Circulation
- Ability to copy a bibliographic record from the global database into a local database
- Simplified parameter environment
