Ex Libris and HighPoint announce partnership to deliver enhanced student mobile experience

Chicago, Illinois—January 11, 2018. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, and HighPoint Solutions are pleased to announce a strategic partnership that will provide a student app for the digital-native generation at institutions of higher education. The joint product will deliver consolidated functionality covering administration and student life and will facilitate teaching and learning via users' mobile phone and, simultaneously, a web portal.

The partnership brings to market a comprehensive suite of products, including the Ex Libris campusM mobile campus solution. This cross-platform native mobile app and web portal consolidates campus-wide services such as learning management systems, library systems, and information guides. The HighPoint product set focuses on the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions platform and extends it, enhancing the user experience while offering significantly more features to support student success and retention.

The combined Ex Libris—HighPoint offering brings best-of-breed solutions from each vendor and is specifically designed to help institutions solve current student engagement challenges and other unique pain points. The personalized campus app platform, which consolidates systems from academic affairs to student life, will leverage the extensive HighPoint app to maximize an institution's PeopleSoft investment.

Eric Hines, president of Ex Libris North America, commented, "The HighPoint–Ex Libris integrated platform will seamlessly address the holistic needs of higher education institutions that use PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Enhancing situational awareness of academic and student activities, the platform will track progress toward on-time graduation and will drive enrollment by offering critical planning tools for prospective students."

"We are excited about our partnership with the Ex Libris team," said George Amalor, HighPoint founder and CEO. "Ex Libris provides enormous scale in the United States and beyond, with student engagement solutions related to the Ex Libris library systems and growing mobile use. The company's belief that learners need proactive information and encouragement to achieve success is consistent with our beliefs. The timing couldn't be better. We are investing in new student success tools for PeopleSoft institutions, to drive a better student experience as well as increased institutional and student outcomes."
