Third Chapter Partners introduces Patron Point

DUBLIN, OH — Third Chapter Partners announces the launch of Patron Point, a comprehensive program that takes user activity-based data and delivers a new level of management reporting and patron engagement.

With Patron Point, libraries can move beyond traditional marketing and communications and drive a more personalized virtual user experience. Part CRM and part marketing automation, Patron Point collects data from the various systems employed by the library (ILS, ebook vendor, pc reservation systems) and creates a 360º view of patron activity. The data are then used as a foundation for Third Chapter managed patron engagement programs designed to meet each individual library's operational and marketing goals. Patron Point early adopters include Delaware County Public Library (OH), Skokie Public Library (IL), and The Ferguson Library of Stamford, CT. "As we come on board with Patron Point, we are very excited about the possibilities this platform offers, states Alice Knapp, President of The Ferguson Library. "It will help us provide the services our users are looking for."

The complete picture of patron activity is a powerful enabler for libraries to better communicate and serve their patrons. "Patron Point enables our library staff to get a holistic view of our community, a view that allows us to serve everyone better. We are better able to be part of the community conversation when we have a better understanding of the community." according to George Needham, Director, Delaware County District Library (OH).

"A set of good looking reports alone is not enough — while they may help a library determine the current status of their services, they often leave library management wondering ‘Now what?'" according to Tom Jacobson, Principal Consultant, Third Chapter Partners. "Patron Point is the much needed tool that provides the ‘Now what?' for libraries. It not only helps them define the current state, but also provides the means by which to navigate toward meeting their ultimate goals."
