September 19, 2012 (ANN ARBOR, Mich.) – ProQuest is asking librarians to submit their most prized memories from library school at ProQuest Discover More Corps, the social network designed for librarians, information professionals, library science students, and instructors. The company expects to build a cache of stories that will capture the rewards, headaches, humor, and pathos of the journey to the LIS degree. While visiting the site, participants are not required to share a memory to enter to win a $50 Amazon.com gift card.
"Sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and accessing free resources are just some of the benefits of being a member of the Discover More Corps," said Maria Ziemer, Global Manager, ProQuest Graduate Education Program. "We think the ‘Memories' sweepstakes is going to be a lot of fun. For librarians who aren't familiar with the site, now's the perfect time to sign up and explore what's available".
Ten winners will be selected to receive a $50 Amazon.com gift card from entries submitted during the "Your Library School Memories" sweepstakes period, which ends 11:59 EST on September 30, 2012. The promotion is open to librarians, information professionals, LIS students and faculty around the world. The drawing will be held on or around October 1, 2012.
