’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, February 27, 2008. Infor today announced that the Landelijk Bureau Art.1 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, has chosen Vubis Smart, Infor’s integrated library system. As a national organization, Art.1 prevents and fights discrimination to ensure equal treatment of all regardless of gender, age, disability, ethnicity etc.
Art.1 chose Vubis Smart following a year in which the organization carefully evaluated multiple library automation solutions. A primary requirement was the complete integration of library management functions and processes. Art.1 currently manages bibliographic and acquisitions data separately, for example. The ability to provide access to the Vubis Smart catalog through an Application Programming Interface (API) was another reason to select Vubis Smart.
Igor Boog, Team Leader of the Research and Documentation Team at Art.1, says: "We are convinced that the implementation of Vubis Smart will improve the internal workflow and documentation process. In addition, we will also be obtaining a very promising Web OPAC."
