This special issue of Library Technology Newsletter includes the results of the Annual International Library Automation Perceptions Survey conducted through Library Technology Guides. The International Survey of Library Automation provides a unique opportunity for libraries to evaluate their core technology systems, their associated vendors, and to offer their views on relevant topics and trends. This fifteenth edition of the survey received 2,790 responses. Monterey County Free Libraries go live on Aspen and Koha with ByWater support. With a decreasing physical collection and increasing use of digital materials, Systems and Knowledge Management Manager Brian McCann saw the need for the creation of a new knowledge portal that would enable practice groups to quickly find the exact online resources they needed. By upgrading their Integrated Library System (ILS) to Soutron, Stinson was able to provide their lawyers with a much more efficient and effective knowledge portal, easing information access for their lawyers while helping the library team members work smarter and more efficiently. Lean Library partners with JSTOR to enhance discoverability of academic content. Lean Library, a Technology from SAGE company that delivers library services directly into the patron's workflow, is collaborating with JSTOR. Together, they will provide libraries the ability to deliver Open Access and licensed content on JSTOR to patrons at their point of need, alongside search results on Google or Google Scholar. Wiley and South African Consortium SANLiC Sign Open Access Agreement. Global research and education leader Wiley announced a new ground-breaking, four-year agreement with SANLiC (South African National Library and Information Consortium), a consortium of public South African higher education and research institutions, with the aim to deliver more open access research and empower scholars across the country. CLOCKSS digital archive expands partnership with Wiley. CLOCKSS has expanded its partnership with global research and education leader Wiley. Together, CLOCKSS and Wiley will ensure the long-term preservation of the publisher's extensive program of scholarly and reference books. More than 22,000 book titles that are a core part of the scholarly record will now be kept safe for posterity through inclusion in the CLOCKSS digital archive program. [Full Announcement].

IFLA: News from the Governing Board Meeting. The IFLA Governing Board has released the Secretary General Gerald Leitner from his duties with immediate effect. This solution was found after legal clarification and is in the opinion of the Governing Board, the only possible solution to the current situation. In December and January, two different and independent firms investigated the work at IFLA's headquarters (HQ) in The Hague based on a formal complaint. [Full Announcement].
VuFind Joins the Open Library Foundation. VuFind has joined the Open Library Foundation. The open source library discovery tool was developed at Villanova University and is maintained by an international development community that has been coordinated by staff at the University's Falvey Memorial Library since 2007. VuFind is joining the foundation in order to ensure the long-term sustainability of VuFind, which is used by hundreds of libraries around the world. [Full Announcement].

New access model OverDrive Max lowers library costs for ebook and audiobook collections. As part of its ongoing library advocacy, OverDrive released a growing list of publishers that now offer “OverDrive Max,” a digital book access model for schools and libraries developed to meet growing reader demand. Under the OverDrive Max model (also known as metered concurrent use), libraries can stock bundles of up to 100 loans for popular digital books with no expiration date. With each Max title the cost to serve each reader is typically the lowest available cost for libraries and schools for lending the ebook or audiobook. [Full Announcement].

EBSCO and Dataly Tech with the EBSCO FOLIO team will collaborate to provide reliable local hosting and support services to libraries in Greece and Cyprus who select the FOLIO platform. OCLC and Google now connect web searchers directly to library collections. OCLC and Google are working together to link directly from books discovered through Google Search to print book records in the catalogs of hundreds of U.S. libraries. This feature is part of Google's ongoing effort to connect people to their local libraries through Google Search. The initial phase of this new program connects people using Google Search to the catalogs of hundreds of U.S. libraries whose books are cataloged in WorldCat, a worldwide database of information about library collections, and made available for discovery on the web. The program is expected to expand to more libraries and connect to more library resources in the future. [Full Announcement].
ByWater Solutions announces Aspen Discovery 22.04.00 Release. With Aspen's 22.04 release, we're excited to offer libraries a brand new option for events: LibCal integration! Springer Nature and Figshare announce pilot to improve data sharing. Springer Nature and Figshare have launched a free pilot to better support authors in making their data openly available. Authors submitting to a number of Nature research journals and Academic Journals will now be able to easily opt into data sharing, via Figshare, as part of one integrated submission process. Lake Agassiz Regional Library deploys SOLUS mobile Library App. SOLUS announced that the Lake Agassiz Regional Library System has deployed its Library App. Lake Agassiz Regional Library is a consolidated public library system serving the residents of Becker, Clay, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk, and Wilkin counties in northwest Minnesota. Las Vegas Clark-County Library District. Las Vegas-Clark County Library District launches barrier-busting cell phone lending initiative. The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is taking another significant step toward bridging the digital divide with a new technology initiative. Thanks to a grant from the Institute of Museum & Library Services and the Nevada State Library, Nevada Homeless Alliance and Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, are partnering with the Library District's groundbreaking Cell Phone Lending Program, which provides smart phones to low-income residents, and those experiencing homelessness. Axiell's Quria platform chosen by Viken Fylke to strengthen cooperation in the region. Axiell, the leading software vendor for public libraries in Europe, announces new customers for Axiell Quria in Norway. Earlier this year, Viken County Library, in partnership with 22 municipalities and all the upper secondary schools in the county, issued a tender to choose a new library system. Patron Point announced that the Lakeland Library Cooperative in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has selected its patron engagement platform to support its mission to strengthen member libraries in eight west Michigan counties by providing the means to share resources, services, and expertise for the benefit of individuals and communities. Libraries Contribute Bibliographic Records for TLC's ITS.MARC Databases. The Library Corporation has expanded ITS.MARC resources with new contributed datasets. TLC established new partnerships to provide libraries with access to recently published titles. The high-quality copy cataloging service from TLC now provides over 81 million records from 23 databases. Of which, school and public library partners contribute 1.2 million records, with more on the way. [Full Announcement].
