Other Info: The Vikram Sarabhai Library (VSL) is named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, world renowned physicist and founding Director of IIMA. It was set up in 1962 and is one of the best management libraries in Asia. The library is open 24x7. Our mission is to facilitate convenient and user friendly access to current, global and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing and retrieving information in various formats (print & non print) to serve the information needs of the academic fraternity of IIMA to meet their teaching, research, consulting, training and learning requirements. The strength of the library is its digital collection of 150+ databases, 30,000+ eJournals & 2,60,000+ e-books, accessible from any networked computer within the campus, which provides scholarly, company and industry information. The library provides specialized tools like EBSCO Discovery, journal title search (A to Z), remote login (restricted to internal users) and institutional repository searching. Recently the Library has introduced Kindle E-Book Readers Borrowing Service and it is in great demand among the library users. The restored and upgraded VSL was formally inaugurated on March 11, 2019. The VSL is now a truly hybrid library, blending traditional print resources with digital technologies, and committed to the larger mission of making itself relevant to the research, education, and learning needs of the faculty, students and research community at IIMA.
