It was created in 1971 by father Metcalf. Illiterate population can be estimated near 10% and double for women. The actual leader is shown in the picture, Mr. Alfredo Mires, bearded. The movement is well known in Cajamarca department only, and has proved links in Colombia. In this case, Chuco village has recently public electricity service. The network has a blogspot and is supported by several foreign entities, among them "Sarah's Rural Libraries" that is believed based in Canada. The lack of electricity can explain in part why this rural libraries do not offer Internet Services; nevertheless, another reason can be the lack of Internet accessibility in the area. Still, broad modernization can be foreseen in this decade and it is better having an organization than do not have one. The exact place is not mapped, but the distrital capital name Jesus is near.
