Biblioteket ønsker å være en levende kulturarena med utstillinger og arrangementer. Vi prioriterer også å tilby dataveiledning. Dovre folkebibliotek avdeling Hjerleid er samlokalisert med biblioteket ved Hjerleid videregående skole.
