Other Info: The Chungcheng Library was a part of Studies when the National Chengchi University was reactivated in Taiwan in 1954 but it has been approved as an independent agency of the University since October 1959. With a view to reinforcing the studies of social sciences and the collection of the related information the Social Sciences Information Cente was set up individually in October 1961 and was under the jurisdiction of the President of the University together with the Library.
However, since 1991 in order the cope with the requirements of the current information age it is a necessary step to further develop the Library and the Center with administrative unification and cooperative service in the organization structure, operations approaches service types and the like. Therefore, since July 1992 the Acquisitions Department and the Cataloging Department of the Center have been incorporated with those of the Library and since December 1992 it has been authorized by the University that Director of the Library must be concurrently the Director of the Center for the objectives of the integration and unification of the management and services of the Library.
The Institute of International Relations branch library was established in 1961, and Public and Business Administration Education.
