Other Info: The mission of the Naval Undersea library is to collect, organize, and provide information about U.S. Naval undersea history, science, and operations for the U.S. Navy and the people of the United States.
The library holdings include over 6,000 books, journals and periodicals, microforms, videos, and other reference materials. The library has a complete collection of the U.S. Naval Institute’s distinguished Oral History Program interviews with naval leaders; it possesses the largest holdings of these oral histories west of Washington DC. The library also holds a complete collection of U.S. submarine war patrol reports from World War Two on microfilm. The library maintains a particular interest in Navy undersea technology, Navy undersea exploration, and joint ventures with civilian organizations to expand knowledge of oceanography.
